I guess there is no Second Amendment in Russia. And the FSB has no problems with giving you a case of cold, dead hands.

As I've been saying for a while, Petraeus says combined arms warfare is no longer possible.
We have a mostly static Frontline and one side will eventually either quit or collapse.

Russia sure didn't seem to get how to use combined arms in 2022. Ukraine never had the airpower to attempt it
So yes you are correct. Petraeus stated the obvious and may have well stated that he was talking through his mouth.

Horsesh!t, You haven’t said that once. Show me where you’ve said that.
And what Patraeus means is that Combined Arms as we know it . As drones become more specialized, especially in the sea, air and land department there is going to be combined arms, just not like we’ve seen.

Air dominance still matters a LOT. Iran was able to break a lot but not actually hit precisely enough. There is no such thing as the ability to build up troop concentration with the advent of Satellite surveillance. So, nothing new there. Small movements at the front are now more transparent. Ukraine is the poor man's war with both Russia and Ukraine trying to do everything on the cheap because neither can afford to do what large economic powers can

All of this is correct. I don’t see how any of that affects my post, however.

I've said numerous times that the "Russia can't do combined arms because the style of warfare makes it almost impossible at scale", so pretty much exactly what Petraeus just said, and your dumb arse poopooed it every time I did. Go on somewhere else with your bullshite soyboy routine.

The now-required use of VPN's in Russia is not only facilitating communication like this but is also emboldening bloggers as they are not easily tracked.

Citing sources, Bloomberg reports that Ukraine is set to resume oil supplies via the "Druzhba" pipeline as early as tomorrow. According to the agency, technical tests of the pipeline are scheduled for Tuesday. Additionally, the European Union may take a decisive step toward unlocking a €90 billion loan for Ukraine as soon as this Wednesday, April 22.

Ukrainian drones strike Druzhba pipeline station that produces export-grade oil – sources
Iryna Balachuk — 21 April, 13:21
Drones operated by the Special Operations Centre Alpha of the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) struck the Samara line production and dispatch station in the settlement of Prosvet in Russia's Samara Oblast on the night of 20-21 April, causing a fire.
Source: Ukrainska Pravda sources in the Security Service of Ukraine; The Moscow Times, an independent Amsterdam-based news outlet
Quote from a source: "Early reports indicate that SSU drones have damaged five storage tanks containing crude oil, each with a capacity of 20,000 cubic metres."
Details: According to the source, the station mixes high- and low-sulphur oil from different fields to produce the Urals export blend, a key Russian crude oil benchmark. The facility is therefore an important component of Russia's oil transport infrastructure.

It will be interesting to see what our military does in response to fundamental shift that drone warfare has created. Ukraine does what they think will work and tests it on the battle field while our Pentagon deals with bureaucratic procedures.
