Ukrainian mid-range drones are consistently wiping out Russian air defences: results over the past year
Harbuz (Dnipro OSINT)
22 March, 13:58
Ukrainska Pravda has analysed the first year of operations of Ukrainian-made mid-range drones. The author of this story compiled data from open sources on several hundred Ukrainian strikes at ranges of up to 250 km. The analysis identifies which Russian assets were struck most frequently and which drones were used to carry out the strikes.
Overall, the author identified 365 strikes over the year, more than a third of which occurred in the final three months. This suggests a steady escalation in the use of mid-range drones.

Reports coming in that Russia is beginning their spring O. Mechanized asssults of battalion size.
ISW reports on Russian offensive

Key Takeaways
Russian forces have likely begun their anticipated Spring-Summer 2026 offensive against the Ukrainian Fortress Belt, Ukraine’s main defensive line in Donetsk Oblast.
Russian forces are also setting conditions to begin intensified ground operations in the Kramatorsk and Kostyantynivka directions to develop the offensive against the Fortress Belt from the south.
Russian forces are unlikely to seize the Fortress Belt in 2026 but will likely make some tactical gains at a significant cost.
US and Ukrainian delegations held a bilateral meeting in Miami, Florida, on March 21. Ukrainian forces downed another Russian military helicopter on March 21, marking the second time that Ukrainian forces have downed a helicopter in two days.
Ukrainian forces recently advanced near Kupyansk and Pokrovsk and in the Kostyantynivka-Druzhkivka tactical area. Russian forces recently advanced near Pokrovsk.
Ukrainian forces struck oil infrastructure and chemical plants in Russia. Russian forces launched 154 drones against Ukraine.

You are an expert in that.
Your comments are devoid of substance.

How many times has this refinery been hit now? Answer: As many times as the Ukrainians want
Is no one going to ask why they have to keep hitting it?

Everyone has a problem with this comment but no one has provided any persuasive evidence to support the one it's criticizing.
Ukraine will be a player in the global arms market, but at the end of the day countries that are able are going to want to build their own drones. We certainly don't want a country on Russia's doorstep to become a key cog in our military supply chain.

Why don't you ask ISW what they think about it and post that here

Likely because a couple of drone hits don't have enough bang to completely destroy it.
No different than the 15th Air Force sent endless waves against Ploesti in WW2' There were 7 large refineries in the area and the Norden bombsite just wasn't accurate enough couple with air defenses to knock them out. Just had to keep going back.
With drones, you're not risking any lives and some seem to get through to cause damage/disruption. Just stay after 'em.

No, because one can actually do research as to what's going on.
The Ukrainians keep hitting it because, according to a Google search, Saratov produces vital fuel for the Russian war effort, making it a central target. That, and since the Russians keep repairing it for the same reason, means it's going to keep getting hit.
You're welcome.

We've done it constantly, Vol, you and Ag just ignore it and go into ya'lls little make-believe land. I myself have posted multiple times on how Ukraine is now the #1 drone producer on the planet, how they are considered the best in the world, how we, the United States, are now asking for their help in this wartime endeavor, and I've see Tiger do it so much people just scroll past it - especially you. It's incredibly persuasive to anybody not quietly rooting either for the Russians or against the Ukrainians.
Christ, this is what's wrong with our whole country. You can constantly point to facts and use literally hundreds of verified sources to do so and fools just go "Meh, you didn't do anything to persuade me." Goddamn the internet.

They are developing warfare technology that will end up saving us more money than we spent on them.
That was the claim being discussed. I provided a counter point that we will want to produce our own drones vs rely on anyone else (much less Ukraine) for them.
Maybe try again if you actually read it this time.

At least bigjoe gave me a relevant response before this one that misses the entire point

Apparently, you don't realize there's a difference between developing and production.
But, hey, keep button mashing. It's going over real well here.

Then show me the data that backs up that it will save us more than we have spent. I'll wait

While we wait on him, can you share your research and tell us we are spending more than we will gain in research and technology.
I’m interested in your findings.

What crawled up your arse this weekend?
That's not how this works. No Colors made a claim and apparently Leopold agrees, they can support the claim with evidence. If it exists. You are free to help them yourself.
I made no such claim in that realm.
