FP-1 drones are constantly being improved. Currently, for example, they are being tested for flight navigation using night vision cameras without relying on GPS. If successful, the drones will become even cheaper.

The FP-1 drone is a deep-strike drone. Previously, it carried a 60 kg warhead, and now it will carry 105 kg. The FP-2 drone - this is middle-strike - previously had a 105 kg warhead; now it will carry 158 kg.

At present, 200 FP-1/2 drones are being produced daily. Production could easily be increased 2-3 times.

They were already partners with NATO for decades. They are also very developed nations.

and exceptions have been made... for Turkey way back when just because they sit in a very important geographical location, though their commitments to democracy have always been questionable.

1) the Ukraine counter offensive in the fall of 2022 was actually going better than most realized. The entire Russian army was in retreat and on the verge of a collapse. Putin called Biden and said, in no uncertain terms, that if his army collapsed and he was faced with a humiliating defeat, he would use tactical nukes. Full stop. So suddenly Starlink stopped working. And targeting data stopped flowing from US intelligence. And Ukraine's advance ground to a halt. That was way more orchestrated than we were lead to believe.

“Biden wants Ukraine to win, but not at the expense of Russia losing.”

So much for Russia's plans to capture Dnipro city this year which were laughable to begin with given their slow rate of advance. They have now been kicked out of another oblast.

Wonder if there really is a growing anger, resentment, threat, or whatever you want to call it or if Vlad is just being paranoid again.

Justice prevails. Leonov was instrumental in moving the BUK missile system to occupied Donetsk where it was used to shoot down the passenger flight MH-17, killing 283 passengers and 15 crew.

Cowardice - That's the Russian legacy.

Putin's Weekly Headache #47.

Seems a non-weapon related fire broke out yesterday and this was followed by an 'explosion'.

The plant produces high-purity pig iron and ferromanganese used in manufacturing military equipment and armored vehicles, located adjacent to the Tula Arms Plant and Tulamashzavod.

When your annual profit has collapsed to just 90M rubles, a total furnace rebuild is a financial death sentence. They have zero internal reserves for this kind of restoration. They will either have to beg the state for subsidies or halt ferromanganese production permanently.

#48.

But the 31 air defense systems surrounding Putin's Lake Valdai vacation home are doing work.

Putin needs to prop up his reputation within the Moscow security jungle. Things are getting sticky. His Number One asset is TACO, so he needs to keep this in the media loop in spite of the ME news cycle. So we get pablum like this - "Look at this American idiot Witkoff, another total Russian asset."

Anything helps.

By the way, where's Tucker? He and Vance must be on sabbatical together.

As to Iranians or Russians reverse engineering Ukrainian drones sent to the ME:

quote:

Zelenskyy said that some countries had been secretly buying Ukrainian interceptor drones, but they soon realized that the drones themselves don’t work without Ukrainian software, radars, expertise, and operators.

JOURNALIST: Is there already an understanding with the American partners that Ukraine “has cards”?

ZELENSKYY: Yes, absolutely all American experts, familiar or not, everyone understands that countering massive Shahed attacks can really only be helped by Ukrainian experience today. And even those countries that, well, quietly bought them here and there, I'm saying this without any accusations. But they bought and acquired (Ukrainian) interceptor drones somewhere, they have already figured out that without our military, our operators, our software, the radar field, many, many different nuances, without all of this the interceptors simply don't work.

I've never seen Peskov so pissed off... Another accomplishment by the Master Strategist.

quote:

Peskov stated that the Russian Federation is losing its "toolkit" for "propaganda work abroad" Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov complained about "hostile social networks" at the "Modern Media: Technologies, Meanings, Personnel" conference at HSE.

"We are now rapidly losing the toolkit for our propaganda work abroad. Especially in the near abroad. Television airtime is a relative thing these days—it can be turned off with a button. <...>

We are dealing with hostile social networks that are at the top of competitiveness in the CIS space, around the world. We don't operate in these environments, and we need to figure out how we're going to do this going forward. We don't work with Telegram. So where do we get our meanings across then? And we have to come up with that," Peskov stated (quote via TASS).
