The Belarusian “alternative” to Starlink... Uses a potato for a tuning capacitor.

boiling them until they reach a nice liquid consistency, then using something like a gravy boat to drop them from the air

Russia is now demanding not only the withdrawal of Ukrainian forces from Donetsk region but also international recognition of Donbas as Russian as part of a peace deal,

It has been interesting to watch not only Russia's position as it changes. But also some posters on this thread (most of whom don't post anymore).

First it was: Ukraine can't win. They need to surrender to prevent bloodshed.

Then it was: Ukraine can't win long term. They need to take whatever deal Russia offers. Because terms will only get worse.

Then it was: Little Z is only keeping this going so he can get rich! It's a huge money laundering event for Biden and his cronies.

Then it was: One winter without power and heat and the people of Ukraine will demand this to be over. They would rather be warm under Russia than freezing under Little Z!

Then it was: As soon as Trump turns off the money and weapons spigot, the Ukes will collapse within a few weeks. The EU doesn't even care about Ukraine, so why should we?

Then it was: Russia wants this to be over. Putin wants peace! But the EU, Jewish, Deep State, MIC will keep moving the Uke goalposts to keep that from happening...

All the while we can't forget: Ukraine is running out of men! Russia is breaking through in the Manigottapee oblast and the whole front will collapse!

Now that every single Kremlin talking point has been exhausted, and the firehose of falsehoods are exposed, the reality is finally setting in.

Russia isn't winning. And can't win.
Ukraine isn't losing.
The EU has stepped up.
The Ukrainian people have stepped up.
The Russian economy is in a flat spin.
Russian recruitment has fallen below their casualty rate.
Russia is out of money to pay recruitment bonuses.
Assaults are slowing down. Progress has ground to a halt.

Russia is about to be out of money, out of equipment, out of soldiers, and out of time.

Putin can't quit. And he can't win.

So people will go on dying until his system collapses. This year? Next year? It doesn't really matter to me. But it will go down like they all go down.

Correct over the last 2 weeks or so Ukraine has liberated Kupyansk and has been pushing the Russians back on a daily basis.

Of course there are no absolutes, but no Russia isn’t doing what they need to do to conquer Ukraine without destroying what they already had.

For that reason alone Ukraine is winning.

Russia’s only realistic hope was the West throwing in the towel and leaving Ukraine alone on an island, but despite all of the propaganda, this has not happened.

Ok shite training and underestimating their opponent can explain 2022 and even 2023. The USSR and USA armies were poorly trained and underestimated their opponents at the start of WW2 but they improved and were efficient armies by 1944-1945. This SMO has been going on for longer than the USA's and the USSR's involvement in WW2. How do the Russians still suck this bad at war?

Factually, Ukraine is not winning the war.

Russia took a bunch of shite from Ukraine and Ukraine cannot get it back. That is the only definition that matters.

So Ukraine didn’t tell Russia adios and then left the Soviet Union and now Russia is trying to get it back but can not.

Hey look, it's All Hat and No Cattle with a bunch of short, single syllable pronouncements and nothing at all to backup what he says. Go figure.

Ukraine has done better than I thought but point 2 could still be true. I think it ultimately will be but you can't look at the situation and pretend it's a sure thing.

quote:

Then it was: Little Z is only keeping this going so he can get rich! It's a huge money laundering event for Biden and his cronies.

People are objectively making a ton of money off this war. There is absolutely stealing going on. That's not really unique to this war, it happens in all wars. I do think it's probably more prevalent in this war given the corruption issues with both of the participants.

quote:

Then it was: One winter without power and heat and the people of Ukraine will demand this to be over. They would rather be warm under Russia than freezing under Little Z!

We have Ukranians telling us the cold has been a humanitarian crisis

quote:

The EU doesn't even care about Ukraine, so why should we?

That point is valid. But the EU has stepped up. This is their war to care about, ultimately.

quote:

Then it was: Russia wants this to be over. Putin wants peace! But the EU, Jewish, Deep State, MIC will keep moving the Uke goalposts to keep that from happening...

Russia not wanting this to be over in any serious way is why I think Ukraine will eventually collapse. They seem to be fine with grinding them down. They might end up being wrong.

Ukraine absolutely has proposed peace solutions that they know Russia wont accept to appease Trump, I'm not sure that's even debatable at this point. But it's because they want to keep the US in the fold and that starts with Trump, and they like their position. It's totally understandable from their POV.

quote:

All the while we can't forget: Ukraine is running out of men

I mean, they objectively are. You have Ukranian sources at the front saying manpower is an issue. But again, it might not matter.

quote:

Russia isn't winning.
Ukraine isn't losing.

And Russia isn't losing and Ukraine isn't winning. It's a bloody stalemate at this point. Both are facing long term issues both economically and demographically.

Hopefully sanity prevails and Russia will stop. I doubt it, but we will see.

Russia is a loser even if they take over some land! Putin has already ruined the future for many Russian people and for Russia itself. What does he care, he won't be there for that future anyway. So much for a long-lasting legacy! He surely didn't think this one out.

I'm not sure he really gives a shite about that. He's a gangster thug type that only really cares about banging gymnasts and money. It wouldn't surprise me if people in his circle with a lot of sway and influence wanted this war more than he did. And obviously the power, but he miscalculated there because this was is a real threat to that.

Maybe not! Just assumed that since he made such a stupid move and wants to get the old USSR back. Maybe that's not it, maybe he's just a biyatch!

The back story on this suit would have been delicious, but it will get squashed and covered with a quickness.

The US Army is seeking financial penalties from Northrop Grumman and Global Military Products for delayed artillery ammunition deliveries to Ukraine, Bloomberg reported. The move follows a Pentagon inspector general report recommending about 1.1 million dollars in penalties over shipments delayed by up to 18 months.

One hundred years from now, when people talk of this war, this is what will be discussed. Every time. The kidnapping of thousands of Ukrainian children. Just as the Holocaust haunts Germans still today, images of these children will define Russian-speakers for generations.
