Actually, Ukraine would take out all of the air defense batteries around Putin's residence first. It's not like they cannot do it.

Well, we know the illness is not caused by a guilty conscience. Replacing him will be a major headache for Putin and a source of fratricidal war within the FSB.

Ramzan Kadyrov was urgently hospitalized on December 25 and hasn’t appeared publicly since, according to Novaya Gazeta Europe. He was reportedly brought to Moscow on the 24th, but his condition deteriorated overnight and required emergency care. Sources say he was “barely revived” and later returned home. Kadyrov’s health has been in question since reports of pancreatic necrosis in 2024.

I know, it’s really comical.

Interesting. Not every intelligence agency in the West, but the New York Post.

Yes, as usual, Ukraine has agreed to essentially everything that Trump proposed---which was originally written in Russian. Now, Russia is going to refuse to agree to anything that they proposed. Then, Trump will threaten some devastating sanctions, and Putin will call Trump at the last minute to prevent them and propose some more talks, and the cycle will go for another spin.
What's funny is that we had so many posters in here like SirWinston absolutely insisting that Trump would indeed end the war and bring peace within 24 hours of taking office.

Because they know they don't have to.
A reporter asked Trump about it and he told the reporter that Putin himself had said that it happened, so that's all that matters.

Trump can't get off the train because he doesn't understand what the non-negotiables for either side are. He thinks his negotiating prowess and unpredictability is enough to get what he wants out of either side. He would probably be right if we were dealing with western European countries who I think are actually afraid of him in a sense, but Ukraine and Russia operate very differently. Sitting him with a Russian and Ukranian historian for about 4 hours and making him listen would do wonders.

If they could do it they should have and probably would have already.

Okay, this is correct. The problem is that Russia's non-negotiable is all of the Ukraine, and Ukraine's non-negotiable is not that. So there is no president or anybody on earth at this point who can get through to Putin.
And I doubt seriously that Trump would listen to anybody teach him something for 4 straight jhours, no matter how useful.

Day one Trump messed up.
If he was serious about it, he should have asked Putin what he do to give him an out.
He should have then done what he promised, made it way tougher on Russia through economic means and aid to Ukraine.
Russia would know Trump meant business but instead Trump saddled up to Putin and failed to use any kind of leverage on Russia.

The CIA helped Ukraine better target Russian refineries:

Couplings are run of the mill and used for pumps and compressors. Nothing fancy about them to be special. They are called couplings, not couplers. The author obviously has no technical knowledge to understand what was stated.
There are volumes, now digital, open source records of which plants make what. After being reported from plant video to the FBI, they called me to ask why I was taking photos outside the plant. I explained that the photos were of the vacant land then for sale next to a hydrogen reformer at the Air Products and Chemicals site in New Orleans East. A client was looking to put up a demonstration plant for new technology and needed a source of hydrogen. The shocker to me was the FBI agent didn't know that blowing up the hydrogen reformer could make the entire area go boom. He had zero idea. I told him where they could get that info.
SRI, Menlo Park, CA, used to publish the Directory of Chemical Producers then sold it to a London based journal publishing company about 20 year ago.The first two were on just the US and Canada, then subsequently directories were published for China, then other regions, like Europe.

91 drones being shot down across a lake would make one big fireworks show. Someone would have noticed such a thing.

Shocking. Absoluitley shocking.
But what is really interesting is that there seems to be a split between the administration and the military/intelligence networks saying different things.
Just like with the Kremlin, the Trump administration and its underlying agencies seem to be at odds with each other. The head guy says one thing and the supporting departments contradict them elsewhere.
Trump and some of his underlings have stated that they aren't sure if the attacks happened or not. But we have agencies saying it didn't happen.
These two look more and more alike as the months go by......
