Major Russian ballistic missile strike reportedly took place today in Balakliya.

Local channels report that a Russian Iskander ballistic missile destroyed the "Tbiliso" restaurant. This outlet reports a meeting of Ukranian servicemen was taking place at the restaurant. Prior to the strike, residents report at least 3 bus loads of servicemen arriving on site.

Channels estimate roughly 50 casualties as a result of the strike."

Our current understanding/usage equates them more to a modern version of WW1 artillery than aircraft IMO.

Hit something with "barrages", create effective "no man's land". Some of them obviously are more akin to missiles.

Take a look at how we won the First Persian Gulf War - this is more indicative of our approach to war and a good layout of how we would fight the Russians should they step one toe over a border.

The air campaign was about a month, but the actual land war was only 100 hours. This is because the Air Force tried their best to show that they could win a war soley with air power, and while I don't think they achieved that they certainly made their point. They did this by first dismantling the Iraqis Air Defense, Communications, Command and Control modules, their logistics, and took away their ability to shoot, move, and communiate.

Once that was done they started to attack Saddam's land forces directly since the Iraqis couldn't defend themselves from the sky anymore. This resulted in the Iraqi's regular army attempting to retreat down one of their main highways, Highway 80, which became known as the "Highway of Death" as the American, Canadian, British, and French aircraft and ground forces attacked retreating Iraqi military personnel attempting to leave Kuwait on the night of February 26–27, 1991, resulting in the destruction of hundreds of vehicles and the deaths of many of their occupants. Between 1,400 and 2,000 vehicles were hit or abandoned on the main Highway 80 north of Al Jahra. After that all they had to do was send in the land forces to clean the mess up - you had hardened Iraqi soldiers surrendering to reporters.

This showed the value of precision guided weapons and pointed where we were going from there. The barrages of 'dumb weapons' became old news, and the new emphasis shows NATO's strategy should we go to war again.

Or at least until the drones showed up.....

Hey, what's it like making 5, 6 figures but not having any gas for your car? Are you taking to running? What happens when winter comes?

Or, he just looked at all the facts and came to the conclusion that Putin was a lying psychopath who couldn't be trusted. Which would be in total agreement with the leaders of 20 European countries who have been dealing with Putin for the last two decades.

But your idea has merit too. Maybe Trump is under some mind control spell from a guy who actually works for him? I mean, that could be true as well. Right?

I guess anything is posisble. You've given us a lot to consider here.

Trump bought heavily into the idea that Putin was his good and rational friend and Zelensky was a rogue troublemaker and Ukraine just would not stop fighting for no reason.

In the past few months, he's realized that Zelensky is cooperative and - in no small part thanks to Melania - he's realized that Putin could just possibly be a horrible, murderous psychopath who is indeed not his friend nor gives a flying frick about him and would happily help anybody who wanted to destroy the US (that strongman summit really seems to have hurt his feelings since they didn't invite him). Go back over his Truth Social posts from that week if you want to examine that...

Incorrect. Refusing to give up and Recognize territory that you already lost which was one of Trump's request to help end the War is not being Cooperative.

The bottom line is Lindsey Graham and General Fruit Loop convinced Trump that Ukraine can still win the War and if we don't continue to give Ukraine weapons all of Ukraine could collapse and Trump would be blamed. Meanwhile General Fruit Loop's daughter continues to make millions from her NGO in Ukraine and Lindsey Graham's Lobbyists continue the money flowing to the MIC

Can't say that while willingly nut swinging a corrupt Ashkenazi manlet from Ukraine.

Ron Paul was quite the hypocrite while a congresscritter. MASSIVE bacon taker is how he kept getting re-elected.

FTR, in his campaign, Trump said that if Putin refused to deal in good faith, he would send lots of weapons to Ukraine.

RP is not a truth teller, and has never been one. He even dhanged Randall's nickname from Randy to Rand to appeal to nutters

Ron Paul is one of few honest and consistent politicians and an actual statesman. You yourself are a hypocritical shitbag, so honest politicians rub you wrong.

WANNA KNOW HOW I KNOW YOU'RE NOT AN AMERICAN?

Sing, hear me out.

You're not going to change anybody's mind doing this shite. You're just not.

I'm not judging you. You might have a family. The Russians may have them tied up, knives to their throats, fricking your goat in your backyard while your sister makes the most of anybody in your family prostituting herself out to 50-year-old alcoholic Russian soldiers. Whatever. You do you.

But this isn't going to change anybody's mind, and you boys need all the help you can get right now.

Hear me out. I can help you. As long as you don't pay me in Rubles we can work something out. I'd like Dental and Medical, but just make me an offer, we'll haggle. It's cool.

Think about it, comrade.
