Just one more Ukranian offensive to stop the Russian spread. It'll work this time, we promise.
I don’t know if another Ukrainian offensive would work, but it’s a fact that the Ukrainians have pulled off two very successful offenses already.

Why won't anyone loan Russia money?
On a much smaller scale many Americans go in debt to purchase a home. They rsjr oug mortgages.
Why go in debt? To improve your quality of life,
Why do lenders list them money? They know they will be paid back with interest.
Russia is mostly pay as they go it seems. No debt, but less quality of life improvements. Why is that? They can’t be trusted.

Speaking to Azov Battalion in 2016, Obama would have been President
Ftom what I found on line Obama was POTUS, but Trump had already won the 2016 election so I don’t understand how Hillary, McCain, and Graham could have sttzz attacked Russia.[

It’s not hard to say. We know that Russia was not attacked, There was never a serious attempt for the US to put boots on the ground. Little was done by the US. We also know Russia launched a huge attack on Ukraine in 2022.

Trump telling Europe and Z to put up. When they don't and the inevitable happens Trump can wash his hands.
Boomercons and DSA's are eating it up. Suckers.

Why won't anyone loan Russia money?
I was working in Moscow then and on a Sunday night Yeltsin went on national TV to tell the world the Russian Central Bank would no longer support the value of the ruble and that all Russian sovereign debt payments were being "deferred." Permanently differed, it turned out.
On Monday morning most big banks were technically insolvent since about 40% of their investment assets were in Russian bonds. And since that debt became worthless, banks had negative capital overnight.
The ruble, which had been trading at 6 rubles to the U.S. dollar on Sunday began trading at 16 rubles to the dollar on Monday morning. Imagine the panic if in the U.S. the dollar lost 2/3 of its value overnight. It would be like a loaf of bread that cost $4 on Sunday cost $12 on Monday.
Crowds outside of Moscow banks wanting to withdraw their dollar deposits were so long that police had to keep order. Banks soon announced they were suspending allowing withdrawals.
Or, maybe lenders remember what happened in June, 2022 when Russia refused to pay its foreign currency debt, mainly the U.S. dollar.

According to Reuters, by 26 August Russian oil companies had lost 17% of their refinery capacity.
Fuel shortages are being observed in 20 regions of Russia and in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. Meanwhile, fuel prices continue to rise across the country.
This getting close to the OPEC oil crisis of the 1970's. Looks like it will get a lot worse. It's the kind of thing that is hard to ignore.

Its disingenuous to pretend that guys like Graham don't have an outsized influence. Its evidence that they didn't have enough power to get that done (if that was even the real intent).

You're counting Kursk, which even serious Ukraine supporting analysts will now tell you was a strategic blunder?

Honestly with Trump I struggle to know exactly how much of it is this, him trying to pressure Russia, or him just waffling on things like he often does.

European officials fear that Trump is preparing to blame them for Ukraine's failure
I am on record saying I think Ukraine will eventually fail, but what failure as of today? They have held on remarkably well and hit Russian infrastructure in a meaningful way (though I do not think it has been quite as crippling as some narratives suggest).
If Europe is so worried about this, they could just invest more in Ukraine's defense. Do they not know that is an option?

Europe has massive financial issues. Not sure printing more billions to give to Ukraine will help the situation
