What a bold lie by Pompeo. They never asked for the 82nd, but they did ask for us to send our Air Force in and close the sky
The only way to not let Russia win the war would be direct US intervention, which is not in our interest. In a protracted war, which Putin is fine with, Ukraine will lose 10/10
We are not allies, and do not have historical ties to Ukraine. Ideologically, they are minimally different than Russia - oligarch, corrupt societies. There is zero reason the US should be spending hundreds of billions of dollars. Trump offered to try and make peace and little Z spat in his face

So Ukrainians are free crash test dummies, fine, but the best way to save US soldiers is not get entangled in regions that aren't a threat to us.
Abrahms tanks are designed for the desert, not for the Eastern front. As to their defensive measure, every truck, tank, apc in the warzone looks like a damn chicken coop for a reason. "Cope cages" were mocked till they became an absolute necessity.
