IIRC, he is threatening to impose sanctions on the company for not hooking up new customers.

Their response was “We can’t because of YOU, dumbass.”

My very apolitical wife read about this and though it was incredibly stupid shite.

She even realized that the increase in electricity use for these systems would require more power plants = emissions.

You may be confusing NG with propane. The logistics of trucking in NG are a nightmare compared to propane.

ETA: but limiting pipeline capacity of NG will cause more people to convert to propane.

Of course the faulty logic here is that it discounts the fact that Natural Gas is now the largest form of electricity generation on the grid.

It's the cheapest and cleanest form of energy generation. Not to mention the main driver of limiting carbon emissions I don't GAF about that stuff, and apparently they don't either.

Idiots never consider where the frick electricity comes from. Also heating a home with electricity is much more expensive.

It always makes me laugh when Democrats tout crazy expensive "green energy" plans then claim they represent the poor despite saddling them with the most burden.

It’s the left’s way of hurting fossil fuel production. It’s ridiculous how much damage the progressives are willing to do for global warming that is based on false data and information.

Tax, fee, and regulate till we all are homeless shitting in the streets.

From the article in the OP

quote:

In Brookline, Massachusetts, near Boston, a town official has proposed banning new gas pipelines and infrastructure in future major construction, according to WBUR.

"The most practical and cost effective way to achieve that goal is not to install new fossil fuel systems when we're building new buildings and when we are gut-renovating them," Town Meeting member Jesse Gray said.

Doesn't sound like they aren't allowed to yet but there are efforts to put bans in place at the city level

This is one of the many reasons that I firmly believe in natural selection and we should quit stopping these idiots from killing themselves off... They have already polluted the gene pool to the point that there might not be any coming back...

Depends on where you live. Some places don't allow wood burning stoves, either. Probably some of the same states that don't allow you to catch rainwater or build a pond.

I’m convinced the climate change nuts want us to return to pre-industrial revolution ways of living.

Yay for 35 year life spans, horseback travel, candles and wood stoves

I read an article last week about Greta Thornburg's blog. I didn't know she had one. But apparently she wrote a lot of stuff on it before she became famous. This author researched the blog and listed all the stuff she advocated.
The most moderate idea she had to stop climate change was to make everyone become vegetarian. It would save the planet and make us healthy.

And natural gas is more efficient.
And converting NG > electricity > heat is less effecient than NG > heat. These idiots dont know the first thing about thermodynamics. But that doesn’t stop them from imposing their fantasies.

Which is one of the reasons you see so many coal plants being converted into NG plants. As well as cost of course.

Boiler Mact of 2012 killed a lot of coal fired boilers....so a lot of industrial users either went tits up or converted because of Obama policies.
