Thankfully it only applies to new construction but it's still ridiculous.
Of course the faulty logic here is that it discounts the fact that Natural Gas is now the largest form of electricity generation on the grid.

Cities across the United States are banning the use of natural gas in new construction; others are considering such a ban. That could mean the end of gas ranges, heating systems and clothes dryers in new homes.

Start banning heating oil in the northeast and a lot of this shite solves itself.

Well that's what is somewhat surprising
One of the cities getting on board with this is in Mass
You can still cook, heat water etc. with Natural Gas in the event of an power outage
Not freezing to death has its perks as it turns out

I doubt this is a majority of states and/or areas. I hope the ban it in new York and Massachusetts though. Ban all fossil fuels in the northeast.

I read an article last week about Greta Thornburg's blog. I didn't know she had one. But apparently she wrote a lot of stuff on it before she became famous. This author researched the blog and listed all the stuff she advocated.
The most moderate idea she had to stop climate change was to make everyone become vegetarian. It would save the planet and make us healthy.

These idiots are the ones lampooned by Futurama around 20 years ago.
“We taught this lion to eat tofu!”
*cut to the most raggedy-arse lion in existence*

The attempt to vilify natural gas by these nuts is so stupid, and probably quite telling.

Climate Change provides sneak peeks at how liberals desire to control every aspect of our lives.

Ban NG in California
California needs to cut electricity because of wildfires

That’s a good point. Power losses are common in winter up there. Especially as lines get icy.

This is just crazy. Natural gas is cleanest burning fuel available.

NG isn’t banned in NY state as of now but the power company has pointed out to Fredo’s brother that they are at capacity and that he personally has blocked attempts to bring further capacity into the state.

Which is one of the reasons you see so many coal plants being converted into NG plants. As well as cost of course.

And natural gas is more efficient.

Heating oil is just Diesel fuel without the road taxes, and dyed a different color.
As long as there is Diesel fuel available, a lack heating oil is is not an issue.

Berkeley was first.
Officials in the Northern California city voted unanimously in July to ban natural gas in newly constructed buildings, becoming the first city in the country to do so, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
Of course they're pioneers with this stupidity

I was talking to someone a while back that said NG companies aren't allowed to install pipelines in MA, so they have to truck everything in.
