Michigan is a weird state to poll. They got it dead wrong TWICE in 16 in the Dem primaries and the general. Bernie was supposedly down 21 points to Hillary in the polls and then ended up winning the state. And of course Trump won.

This cycle they have an authoritarian Dem governor which may end up being a huge advantage for Trump.

Explain to me like i'm a 10 year old kid. What do these + numbers mean? If I bet $100 on MI and he wins it how much would I win? I get that the minus numbers are states hes favored to win.

A $100 bet on (+280) would be $280 plus your $100 back so a total of $380

A $100 bet on (-125) would be $80 plus your $100 back so a total of $180

You’d get 380 back. The odds are 2.8:1. For every dollar you wager you’d get back that dollar plus 2.8x the number of dollars you wagered.

Does that mean bettors think Trump is more likely to win Iowa than Texas?

No. So if Trump to win is the following:
TEXAS -332

iowa -245

The bigger the - number the more likely the outcome.

Michigan to me is interesting.
