If he were to leave in January for a Trump cabinet position, the guy who would take his place is much worse.

We are screwed and it’s 100 percent the fault of LAGOP and the idiot mouth breathers that vote.

That’s what passes for success in LA.

Hey, he doesn’t suck as much as the last guy! Score!

Awful news. Landry just showed us who he really is. A friend to trial attorneys and not having any interest in fixing the legal hellhole known as Louisiana. What a turd.

It’s almost like the Plantiffs Bar has in its possession compromising information. Almost like.

Elect intelligent conservatives with actual solutions for the governance and fiscal issues in this state.

Schroder
Waguespack
Nelson
Hewitt

All of those four had that. But all four were less of a social conservative than Landry is.

How do any of them get elected without the trial lawyer's support?

You are talking to people that voted edwards.

People that voted Edwards and not Wilson switched over to Landry.

Even if the rest of us settled on one of those candidates, we still wouldn’t have won.

So....uh...I pay a gazillion dollars in health insurance premiums every month...whether I actually use insurance or not.....and then I get into a wreck, and because I pay premiums month after month after month, my health insurer that I pay every month gets a rebate on what it pays the doctor versus what I'd have to pay out of pocket. And now....the insurance industry lobbies the legislature to tell them that insurance company of the guy who hit me and forced me to use my health insurance....and not me...(you know...the one who is paying premiums every damn month), should get the benefit of the reduction that was obtained because I paid for it. And then, the propoganda machine gets to buzzing and blames "lawyers" for arguing that their clients, and not the damn insurance company of the guy who caused the problem in the first place, should get the benefit of what they paid for. Does anybody even think anymore? You watch a commercial that says "lawyers bad"..."lawsuit abuse".....and don't even consider that the greediest a-holes out there driving this crap are the friggin insurance companies who are spewing this nonsense. The power of propaganda is frightening. (And I'm a republican) Taking away the collateral source rule makes cases harder to settle. It was a horrible idea couched in lies and mis-direction.....and did nothing to help insurance rates. Period. So now we are mad that they aren't doing more to protect the insurer of the guy who caused the accident? Just nuts.

Trial lawyers aren’t the reason Landry won in a landslide. People like you are
You fell for his red meat social issues and now he’s showing who he really is and all you can say is he’s better than JBE. What a high standard

It's not a windfall. Had you not paid 50k in premiums, there would be no reduction. You paid for it (probably 5 times over.) But yeah...call it a windfall if you want to. I guess the guy who caused the accident should get a rebate....because he hit somebody who paid years of premiums for good insurance.

Insurance people and trial lawyers are sitting around a poker table right now. They are laughing at us dumbasses talking about how easy it is to divide and conquer.

So why should the liability carrier reap the benefit of that bargain the plaintiff paid for?
