Great. More culture war grand standing while addressing nothing that actually affects us.

It affects those of us who care about our kids and grandkids.

Dumb white women are behind it.

The "Landry focuses too much on social issues" crowd isn't going to like this.

So, Is this just a strongly worded letter or is there an actual punishment for offenders, like prison time?

Only for those defending thier wives and daughters.

How many times have your kids and grandkids been attacked by trans people in bathrooms in Louisiana?

Just say you don’t agree with it next time. And explain why you don’t agree with it. And get pummeled for your explanation.
This is an unnecessary and basically unenforceable law. There is no epidemic of assaults in bathrooms in Louisiana, period. Regardless of pronouns and whatever else. It’s simply not happening. If it were, members of this board would certainly be posting about it.
It’s just pointless pandering while our insurance rates skyrocket and no one can afford groceries.

Hermaphrodites have to shite in the hall.

Why even include this? Why do we have to wait until a school in Nashville gets shot up before we admit that trannies have mental issues?
Because it now appears that you were OK with her getting support to be a tranny, right up until she used it to kill children in school
Arent you a teacher? Do better, for your kids

This is quite the reach. Pointing out needless and pointless legislation in Louisiana has nothing to do with school shootings in other states.
I see how much small government conservatives love passing new unenforceable laws around here.
ETA: let’s follow this to it’s logical “enforcement.” Someone suspects another person in the bathroom of being transgender, so that person calls the police to report it. Meanwhile, the person using the bathroom finishes up and exits the bathroom. Then what? Will the caller try to detain the suspected trans person until law enforcement arrives? Or will nothing come of it because the suspected trans person will be long gone by the time law enforcement arrives?

While I agree with this, I wish they would do something to fix the actual issues in Louisiana like the insurance catastrophe and the lack of economic growth. This is just more political pandering.
I think this one is ok and needed to be done.
Not a huge fan of Landry’s but I’ll take him. Before the month is over look for 2 huge announcements from him regarding economic growth. One as early as next week. A lot of you will be pleasantly surprised.

It hasn't happened?....yet. Every time I hear this argument, I think about my little 7 year old grand daughter & I don't want even the possibility of this happening to her, or anyone's child. I much prefer "prevention" over "reaction". Look at where this "close our eyes & it won't happen to us" mentality has progressed in a very short period of time. It has happened elsewhere, why would La.be immune from this perversion? You really think the whole "pronoun" thing is not all over La.? Slippery slope thingie.

There is a coffee shop out there that has only one restroom. It does not have the multisex sign, but instead has a transgender sign. If both sexes are allowed to use it, why is there the need for the transgender sign? It does not matter what gender you identify with, because both genders can use it.

I’m sorry, but do you actually believe laws prevent crime?

When was the last time one of your children were killed by a mass shooter with an "assault rifle"?

Not naive about laws but it's easy to see where you & the progressive left have taken us down some very dark rabbit holes. There are activist trannies all across the country who are pushing for the mutilation of young girls. And in too many occasions, succeeding. What is your solution? Common sense should prevail & make it illegal. If this law saves one child, it is well worth it.
