LIAR

We can all see that you edited your original post at 7:26 pm then came to here to sass back “No shite. I said MediCADE” AFTER multiple people quoted your earlier Medicare statement.

And you misspelled Medicaid because you are an idiot

So poor people with children don’t already receive public assistance? Is this redundant?

Maybe he is philosophically opposed to welfare programs.

As to why Landry would do this on behalf of the state?

Yes because he's an idiot and thinks that this would score him some political points with right wingers.

I don't necessarily agree with the crawfish farmer bailout, but shelling out funds to workers / providers vs leeches is comparing apples to oranges.

You don't think the food assistance money would find their way into the hands of the workers/providers? Are you 12 years old or something?

It's dumb not to claw back every $ available.

The purpose is to test the waters on getting rid of expanded medicaid.

I get this argument, but why make the child suffer for the adult's decisions?

It is 40 dollars.

Most kids that are in that situation are more than likely never going to see a boost in food for themselves. The parents would just waste the EBT benefits on a junk food or spend the 40 dollars they saved on a few packs of cigarettes.

Giving the EBT card is no guarantee that the child won't suffer. There is no guarantee that the funds will be used to feed the child. The summer meals program feeds kids at designated feeding sites. It is available in low income communities and delivery is available in rural areas.

Once you take the candy, they throw you in the van and never look back!

Anyone that can’t see THAT THE GOV’t is BANKRUPT & in debt & POINT IS that we need to stop the spending & end this growing welfare state.

Slidell Cajun, do you think this Gov’t spending is SUSTAINABLE?

Are you subsidized?

Are you paying half your income to
The Lowlifes & illegals?

Only people that should be getting “free anything” are:

1. Disabled
2. Elderly
3. “Newly on fresh hard times”
And need a hand-up.

Other than that, you’re part of the problem why this country is about to implode.

Cloward & Piven / Rules for Radicals / Saul Alinsky
Overwhelm the taxpayers with dependants and watch them collapse from within.

Please tell me that your naive and not Low IQ?

We already take the candy and so does every state dumbass.
Our not taking this money is not going to stop it from being doled out!

It’s not going to stop the federal government from being the federal government and doling out funds to states!

I guess you think we should decline federal money for our waterways (dredging and infrastructure) and post hurricane fema money too…. lol
