Right.
That’s literally the entire reason the democrat party exists. Vote for us because you’re oppressed.

Are that stupid that you think Trump and Musk are going to admit to wanting the cheapest labor possible?

Yep. This dumbass thinks Musk is hiring high school dropouts to wash his cars. He’s trying to get humans to Mars.

You are literally too stupid to understand the word merit.
You're no American. You're just a drain on people who produce.
Dude, there is obvious nuance to this debate. Its not black and white. On the surface, H1b seems fine, but as taxpaying citizens of a country, we all have a right to our government looking out for citizens first.
Just because an American with skills wants to paid more for his work than someone from a third world country doesnt make him lazy. We have set up our society in which people who go to work and work hard dont have to live in squalor. If we are now a country where any and everyone has free access to come work here if they just have a skill and are willing to undercut the wages of Americans, thats fine....but we need to have a serious discussion about taxes and the setup of our government.
There is nothing fair about Americans paying thousands and thousands in sales taxes/gas taxes etc their whole lives to make sure we have good roads, bridges, clean water, sewar systems only to then invite some third world person who has NO community investment to come in and undercut the wages of those Americans because they are willing to live 8 people in a 1br apartment, never eat out, never buy anything from local businesses, etc.

I like Elon, support his work and hope he keeps on the way he did for the 2024 election. I disagree with him on an issue. It doesnt make me "anti-Elon"

I bet you had no problems with LSU paying Ben Simmons to come play basketball over a local prospect.

America is allowed to have its own economy. This land does not belong to every other human being on planet Earth. A sovereign country is 100% entitled to have a meritocracy with its own citizens. Im sure there is someone else out there in the world willing to do YOUR job for half the pay. Does that make you a lazy DEI worker?
You can call it whatever you want to.

It’s just like the NIL in CFB, either you hire and pay for the best or you lose to whomever does. Musk knows that it’s smarts and motivation that gets things done, not money. Hillary had tons of money and she lost.

So you were against bringing him in? He was absolutely paid … even worse, he was paid using public dollars to come in from another country when there were US players that could have been given our tax dollars to go to LSU.
Personally, I don’t have a problem with either because I’m not a woke libtard.

I guess Uncle Barry was right. Learn to code.

Its hilarious to me that a tweet about software coders turned into an immigration debate.
You guys do realize coding is a digital product and anyone can commit to git with an internet connection. Cheap offshore developers has been a thing for at least 30 years.
If the end game was importing cheap coders, they don't need to be imported FFS.

If you are against the import of services from workers, you should also be against importing goods as well. You should probably get rid of your Chinese made iPhone and buy the US equivalent. You know…for consistency.

Good they dont need H1B visas then. Debate over

These are accounted for with tariffs, which yes I do support. The average American spends $4500 in sales taxes. If a company needs to bring in talent on H1b visa, they can pay $4500 tariff for each year over 18 the worker is. Yeah thatd be fair
