Maybe not.

However, even if we concede (for the sake of argument):

A. She might have been a little rowdy, and

B. She might have been guilty of some level of criminal conduct,

...she was also not armed and not a threat to kill/cause great bodily harm to someone else justifying the use of lethal force.

Which is basically the line used all last year during the riots. even when they were "mostly peaceful" any LEO that dared put his hands on anyone, regardless of what criminal act they were in the middle of committing, was roasting on line and in the press if it was caught on camera. Imagine if they had fired a live round at one and killed them?

quote:

"Now imagine she was black."

Complete and total anarchy would have ensued. Think back to what we had last year, and that was without LE killing anyone during any of those riots. Imagine if an unarmed back woman had been shot in the neck while surrounded by armed LEOs while breaking into a federal building in Portland? We'd have known the officer's name within 24 hours, he'd have 100% been indicted, and his "trial" would be forthcoming.

You're not wrong, but that doesn't mean it's not a double standard worth pointing out.

The real issue is that we in the center or on the right still think making this logical argument matters to the opposition. This only scores points if the opposition cares if they're seen to be benefitting from a double standard.

In this case, they'll use the worthless term, "whataboutism" as a defense of their benefitting from a double standard, and dummies eat it up.

Yeah I get it, believe me. It’s too easy to point out. Unfortunately pointing out hypocrisy to an entity with no morals is a pointless endeavor.

And you would be saying she was murdered by police.
I would? Name a legit police shoot I haven't stood behind. I'll give you one: Jacob Blake.

And I'll go further with Floyd: I don't think it was racist and arguably wasn't even intentional.

So this trigger happy cop shot an unarmed person and the liberal thinks that justifiable?

They're fricking garbage.

You could hear people yelling frick the police! How dare they. Cops are the best! If you can hear people talking bad about them you are justified to murder unarmed people.

I was under the impression this board supported police defending themselves.

I'm with y'all though police officers have no business executing people especially unarmed people. It's unfortunate that Eric Garner, Brianna Taylor, and George Floyd were afforded the same compassion here but at least y'all are learning.

Glad the left cleared this up.

Sounds like we need to revisit Micheal
Brown every other case where a suspect became physical with police and defied orders.

Hate is a strong word. I voted Trump twice but I do not like him at all. But that has nothing to do with my comment above

This what you truly want to go with here? That this guy was "defending himself" from an unarmed woman, nearly 10 feet away, surrounded by other LEOs with rifles?

As the left likes to say, do better.

But there might have been someone super important in the room behind him. That means the police can shoot unarmed women.

You would appear smarter if you admitted it was emotionally driven. Denying obvious facts makes you look dumber.

What are you talking about? What was emotionally driven?
