This is the weirdest thing for someone to be singularly obsessed with.

So, breakdown this tax credit scam for me. How does it work exactly. I mean, obviously we're not writing anyone a $1billion check.

That is exactly what the state does with makers AND it has nothing to do with their income. We pay them 30% to 35% of their expenses including out of state actor salaries.

Several people are too dumb to understand how stupid this is and would rather we all pay more taxes so these film makers can profit.

The article deals with more than that and you can see several absolute idiots would rather we all pay more taxes than to eliminate these special interest tax programs. They hate hard working taxpayers and love special interest. They are likely politicians or welfare profiteers.

What exactly is weird about protesting the government screwing hard working taxpayers? It is weird to me for you to side with the money grabbing politicians.

I appreciate your tax credit posts. I am amazed people aren't more pissed about the movie credits.

The film tax credit cost the state treasury over 200 million last year per the report which is about 20% of the losses.

But we want more movies!!!

Dewster people don't understand, it's a terrible industry to try and bring to La. It's not stable and many of the movie investors come, make a movie, make a profit and leave the state to spend that money.

Freeman it's there in black and white, and from the state auditor; La. LOST OVER 200 MILLION last year on movies.

How can anyone justify this debacle.

And then there all the other subsidies which may or may not be as bad.

The State should implement some Tariffs to recoup that money.

It is confusing to you that I support ending special interest tax cuts and using the money to cut taxes for everybody?

You are correct sir in your disdain for this wasteful spending imho. Ironically (based on your history of posting), the film credits may the most legitimate of them all, and sadly...thats is really saying something. I would imagine some cousins are getting paid big bucks just to breathe. This is insane.
