*** Sunday 9:37 AM EDT *** -- FLASH TRAFFIC: DETACHMENT and LONG FRACTURE OF LAND ! ! ! Newspaper: Eruption Could Come TODAY!
The long feared collapse of the western flank of La Palma is on the table with the latest events coming out of the island. The collapse of the flank could potentially create a mega tsunami inundating the entire US East coast with 100FT tall walls of water flooding 40+ Miles Inland. All
Eyes should be on La Palma.

Saw graphics that put all of south east Louisiana (and even extended into Mississippi, North of Baton Rouge, a little bit I think) in the 140+ mph gust winds for Ida. I'm not sure we saw half that, and we weren't too far west of the eye. I know east of the eye got pounded, but the 140+ mph zone was waaaay west of the cone of prediction for Ida's path.
Lots of exaggeration going on for clicks and views.

If we can break out Bush’s weather machine maybe we can direct it to hit North of North Carolina and the country will be saved from the libs.

If only we all drove hybrids. This would have never happened

So, that trip to Florida's east coast not such a good idea ?

Not to say the guy was right but I remember a Jewish Christian guy saying before the election if we don’t elect trump the east coast will be flooded and the west coast will be on fire.

I remember this documentary. I don’t buy the whole 100ft wall of water thing. There were claims that it would be hundreds of feet. There was a landslide in Alaska that caused a huge wave like this though

Isn't the Potato taking a beach vacation this weekend?

That video sounds pretty disastrous

Predictions of Atlantic tsunami from the LaPalma volcano have been all over the place with most saying little chance of tsunami even with a slough off of a mountainside.
That being said, this is a fear I have had for decades

Nothing shows up on the USGS map. Must be really small quakes. Hope they stay that way.

Is Orlando about to become beachfront property? I’d be OK with that

Lituya Bay, it was 1,700' high.
There's another one in Prince William Sound that they're watching closely.

Yea, but that wasn’t a 1700 foot wave. The water just pushed up the landscape that high

This has been predicted for years....not a matter of if, but when...and yes a massive tsunami wiping out the east coast, over topping Florida, and penetrating inland along the gulf coast.
But THIS week?
But THIS week?

You mean it could wipe out Washington?
