The fact leftists across the country are in lockstep agreement this kid is guilty of murder only further serves to prove how they all have divorced themselves from reality and sold out completely, mind, body, and soul to the cult of progressivism.

See the post above yours. There are plenty of reasons to have him testify. It's all about weighing them. Again, with an innocent defendant, unless there is other crimes evidence, the jury wanting to hear from the Defendant is a legitimate reason to make this call.

Yea I can understand that if I was a juror, I would want to hear from him.

Rittenhouse: "Mr. Ziminski instructed him (Rosenbaum) to 'get him (Rittenhouse)' and 'kill him'."
That's big and prior to the gunshot fired by Ziminski.
If Ziminski's case goes to trial (which may not, considering Rainmain's testimony yesterday), he's going to be the scapegoat for the whole event.
And he should be. frick that guy.

I do wonder if the defense felt like not putting him on the stand would look like they were hiding something, like trying to hide him. Plus, it also points to how confident they are in who he is and his mindset on the events from that night that they feel safe putting him on the stand.

Some are correct on the feeling that he will be subject to "brutal cross exam", yes he will. And I would not (if his lawyer) worry so much about the dramatic / emotional side as I would worry about a simple answer altering the course of what has occurred thus far. For example, I suspect none of us are 100 percent familiar with every pre trial ruling in this case. If something was prohibited before, one answer that seems / should be simple, can "open the door", and then potentially allow something into evidence previously excluded. (I do not know the "opening the door" case / jurisprudence to cite offhand)
This is exactly what the attorneys on the Rekieta Law stream brought up as the biggest risk.

Negative. These people made a conscious decision same as we did. They’re not the victims of anything.

That's part of the deal and is where expert preparation of the witness comes into play. I mean that's a potential issue that could arise with any witness throughout the trial. It's not a reason to shy away from calling witnesses unless there's an acute problem with a particular witness.
