Rosenbaum is by all accounts a deranged loon who has shown and been arrested for aggression in the past. He's on video acting like a lunatic. It's totally believable he just attacked a kid he got on his own.

As a career litigator, any competent attorney can make a witness look bad on cross. Regardless of the facts or truth. It’s just the nature of cross. Also, regardless of how well a witness is prepared, you never know how they are going to do on the stand when the pressure is on.
I will say though - our view from the outside is certainly different from the attorneys in the courtroom. They get to read the jury and we don’t. I’ve rarely had a jury trial where I didn’t have a sense of what the jury was thinking to a degree. It’s possible they saw something that worried them.

So far:
Was in Kenosha working and to see sister at boyfriends house nearby
Sling was new ..bought for safety day before
His gun had never before left State
He had a vest that was issued by police
He had lots of family connections in Kenosha
Just met Car Source owners day before
Didn’t know most of the people protecting before
Kyle personally put out fires..church and went to put out fire at high school he has removed graffiti from
Rosebalm mentioned killing them twice..not necessarily directly at Kyle
Provided medical help to people- wrapped an ankle, flushed eyes out of person, looked at guys shoulder
Was pepper sprayed
He is not an EMT even though said that
Was looking for friend at gas station
Police wouldn’t let him go back to Car Source lot so stays at gas station for safety bc others there
Black called and asked for help putting out car fires.
Gets fire extinguisher and starts running there stopping along the way saying medic to people
Zaminsky comes at him with gun and he steps back and drops extinguisher to get away
Rosenbalm running beside him and found himself cornered ((starts crying))
Judge pauses

I don't think the kid expected to breakdown like that. I'm sure he's gone over what his attorney was going to ask but the reality of the events finally caught up and he's letting it all out.

It is good. Now the prosecutor will have to refrain even more from being aggressively confrontational with him. The jury will not approve of taking advantage of an obviously vulnerable witness.
