It's not a matter of him handling it. It's about what the DA can do to make him look like a killer to the jury.

The DA couldn’t get laid in a whorehouse as of now.

Why would they do this after they saw how the fat boy treated the photographer testifying yesterday?

This may be what the defense is hoping for. They are hoping the mothers on the jury picture their son in the stand getting bullied and attacked by Shamu

This is so dumb. No reason at all to put him up there. Beyond belief stupid.

"Conventional wisdom" is not always the best course. In fact, I would argue that in many instances it can be the worst course in litigation.

This isn't a cross by the DA. Of course he's handling this fine.

And it doesn't matter how Kyle handles it if the DA is able to trap him and sway the jury.

There's a reason why the 5th Amendment is a thing.

This is also for PR purposes

My only thought was so he could cement his status as an icon and use it in a book.

frick all that. I know the prosecution hasn't done shite. Let the jury have it if you can't get a directed verdict.

I don't think there's enough testimony in the world that could make Kyle Rittenhouse look like a killer. He is the poster child for trigger discipline and self control.

This is so bad of the defense. The case was won already.

This case ain't gonna hinge on some perceived gotcha technicality.

They're destroying the whole "He shouldn't have been there" narrative.

His father lived in Kenosha, he had other family that lived in Kenosha, he's going over all his CPR and medical certifications

They could have called ANY of those members of the family to testify to that....

This is scary as shite.

Huge mistake to put Kyle on the stand. That is something a 1L would do.

I know right, all their witness turned out to be trash.

At this point, as long as Kyle doesn't say "I went there with intent to kill these people" he is walking...

I'm sure he's been through several mock questionings in preparation for the trial... so I'm sure he did well enough and the defense obviously feels comfortable enough with this

still seems like a high risk/low reward scenario to me

You, I, and all of us in this thread aren't on the jury.

The jury is the only thing that matters. And this is a huge risk because it gives the DA a HUGE amount of ammunition to sway the jury back to convicting him.
