Wow, you keep obsessively coming back to this thread.

Did you check out the link I posted to an actual Texas A&M message board?

You would probably be happier being surrounded by your fellow A&M "sophisticates".

Maybe take a break from obsessively posting on this thread, wipe the spittle from your keyboard and examine how unimportant your real life must be if you spend hour upon hour upon hour obsessively trying to be a big duck on a little message board.

No one believes you're anything special, stop trying so hard and maybe people will like you.

Also, your post was unclear, do better.

This isn’t even political. You wrote a bad sentence that caused confusion and are such an obstinate frick, you have to argue about it.

If you watched the Depp/Heard trial, his behavior is entirely predictable, he cannot help it.

Which is why I think perhaps changing his handle to AmberHank might be in order.

It's NEVER his fault.

The fact that he obsessively spends hours on a message board willingly interacting with people he professes to hate speaks volumes.

“ Him shooting people you don’t like…” is good and clear.
Holy crap. No, that is awful grammar. The proper phrasing of YOUR sentence would be “His shooting ….”
quote:

“ Shooting people you don’t like” 100 times out of 100 leads people to believe the “you” is proverbial and also the subject implied as the shooter.
Again, holy crap. The subject of that sentence is a gerund phrase.

You seem to be implying that I should have phrased the gerund phrase subject of the sentence as “shooting people that ReadyPlayer1 does not like…”

In other words, you seem to think that I should have made a third person reference while speaking to someone in the second person. Sorry, but that is just insane.

Are they?

Seriously question- I don't know much about Texas A&M but for some reason I had the impression they would tend to have a less than average level of workeness.

Why do you lie so much? I do not “hate“ anyone here, and I have never “professed“ to do so. I invite you to link to any post in which you allege that I have made any such “profession.” Of course, you cannot and will not do so. You will just make a snide comment or spout some pop psychology.

Admittedly, I do think that some of the posters are as dumb as a shovel full of gravel. That is true of any forum. I come to interact with the brighter posters, and there are plenty of them.

Jeez Hank, you are like a yappy little dog or a child.

LET...IT....GO.

You seriously need to take time away from the Internet.

No, not necessarily so.

I just think it's sad that you profess to want to have intelligent discussions, yet you obsessively post on THIS particular forum..

There are DOZENS of forums geared towards unconfirmed intellectuals and wannabe Lawyers, yet you choose to stay away from them and try to build a reputation HERE as someone who is much more important than they truly are.

Bizarre but wholly predictable given your personality traits.

This thread and your passive-aggressive attacks against posters who point out how you are WRONG is a prime example.

This is also an opinion.

Now you are speaking factually.

I must say, I have never seen you profess any hatred.

Haha....Lawyer speak.

His passive-aggressive nature and obsessive insults belie any statement to the contrary.

The kid is full of hate.

No, given the character you choose to portray, it's simply an accurate description.

Honestly, I'm starting to feel sorry for you.

I'm starting to picture the scene from "Cool Hand Luke" where Dragline is beating the shite out of Paul Newman, but he keeps trying desperately to swing back.

I guess that second statement was a token of love and affection.

Hank is the classic above-it-all troll. He says inciteful (but not insightful) stuff. Then imagines a group of haters to feel self-important. The best part is he thinks on one notices it.

There’s not an editor in America that would not have corrected your sentence for lack of clarity.

Find me an explanation/definition of proper gerund phrase usage, that includes an example that mirrors yours. Any will do.

You not being able to admit that your sentence was not worded clearly is ridiculous. You don’t think it could have been worded more clearly? Really?

“ He is out-of-state, so without exemplary grades and exemplary SAT, he was not going to be admitted on the merits. ”

I understand your point about it being difficult for incoming texas resident freshmen due to our states rules ( which prevent a lot of the better students getting in imo)

But out of state and not an incoming freshman puts him in a different category of competitive applications.. sorta like why kids go to blinn for a semester and try to get into am ( or texas Austin)

Will be interesting to see how this plays out.

I really, really, really pray he is a troll.

A real-life person possessing the personality traits, temperament and total disconnect from reality he chooses to display should not be walking the streets.

Not ridiculous, rather COMPLETELY predictable.

He is sort of an open book if you know what you're looking at.

Even after all this time, I still can’t but expect SOME level of reasonability from a person I’m talking to. Getting absolutely nothing, as if talking to an AI designed to never concede, is mind-numbingly frustrating, and I have to admit, infuriating.
