I had season ti let’s to auburn football for ten years and I stopped buying them 4 or 5 years ago. I hate the direction colleges are going between spending insane money on buying out coaches and now the NIL. I don’t even care about watching college football anymore.

I also stoped donating money and now they call me at all hours wanting me to donate again. They called me at 9 or 9:30 pm the other night and their excuse was that there was a note that I had been busy at other times.

Exactly. This makes zero sense

Probably bc the number of potential recruits offended by Rittenhouse far exceed those excited to see him admitted. Pure numbers game from the Athletic Dept.

In your 'Athletic Dept.' comparison, those recruits who have a history of irresponsible or poor decision-making are best left for other programs.

Someone "offended by" Rittenhouse either (A) has no clue as to what transpired in Kenosha, (B) has a partisan disregard for truth, or (C) is a criminal concerned they might too get domed if they attempt to criminally attack Rittenhouse on campus. Those are the candidates aTm is "recruiting"?

it was not a “comparison.“ It was a simple statement of fact. The athletic department at Texas A&M is very influential. To be honest, I have no idea what you are babbling about regarding “irresponsible … poor decision making.”

True. Does it matter, if you lose a half-dozen uninformed 5-star recruits in exchange for admitting a kid who seems to have been a marginal student, at best?

Again, it is a simple numbers game.

The athletics department and the big donors had to decide between Kyle Rittenhouse and a potential national championship. They chose the latter.

Get your panties in a wad if you want, but this was not SJW, it was big-money business.

What are his grades? What is his SAT score?

Tell all the Aggie jokes that you like, but TAMU academics are rigorous. State law requires us to auto-admit a LOT of in-state students who would not otherwise qualify, making it VERY competitive for an in-state appllicant to get one of the non-automatic slots and more-so out-of-state.

He is out-of-state, so without exemplary grades and exemplary SAT, he was not going to be admitted on the merits.

Shooting and killing people that you do not like is not getting this kid any admission preferences.

Go ahead and start the downvotes, but why does he telegraph every move he makes which only draws unnecessary attention to himself. Of course he won’t get a fair shake. His attorneys should educate him as he is now for better or worse a public figure.

And what happened to Arizona for school?

In the case of academic recruits, the term "uninformed" is as inapplicable as a 5.1 second 40-time would be to a 5-star CB.

where did I say anything about “academic recruits?” You are making absolutely zero sense.

If Rittenhouse were NMS, we might be having a different discussion. A&M consistently enrolls the most NMS in Texas and Top-10 nationally.

Kyle sees all that nil money. Aggies showed their hand. It’s always funny how dumb-arse libs think they’re smarter than they are, yet they’re the dumbest among us.

You weren't talking analogically? You're actually talking about athletes driving general student body admission standards at aTm?
