No reason they can’t change future funding.

Schools save a chunk of money (not the least on transportation) by pretending to do virtual learning.

And how many of those deaths under 17 were comorbity driven? I am guessing 100%

We can protect those kids, exemptions, home schooling, etc

Then why would he say it?

Because lots of people believe him, regardless of the facts. He says lots of things that are provably false.

Also, quite frankly, there’s a good chance that when he said it, he had no clue how schools are funded.

Or they died from something else completely and tested positive. It’s extraordinarily rare that a young person dies from Coronavirus.

Didn't Trump say he's going to defund the schools if they remain closed?

90 to 95% of school funding is local or state

Just listening to people around me most of them are scared shitless of dying. The media and those in opposition of America are using this to it's full advantage.

I'm sorry. Does anybody, even on the far left, take this guy seriously?

That's not low enough, and you know it.

It's the teacher's unions and teachers......in New Orleans they are making any excuse.

I love the game 'Let's Make An Assumption'!

Let's assume they death rate is 10%!

Well, among all other things, we now know he's a complete stats moron.

Why on Earth would we "assume" a .5% death rate for Children?

I've been saying this for the overall numbers too.

It's like the choices are, "do our stupid shite and no one will die or, don't and everyone will"

Here’s another perspective: Teachers are mandatory reporters when they suspect child abuse is happening in the home. They haven’t had anything to report for 4 months. To think that kids aren’t being abused like crazy right now is unbelievably naive.

If Trump wanted to keep the schools closed, you’d be hearing more about this.

Trump says a lot of things and most of them dont end up happening, he just sends a strongly worded tweet and assumes that will do the job.
