Dude…Gospel in Greek is Evangelion which means Good News…the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Go back, re-read what I wrote, and learn.

Capitalization of the word Gospel (outside of beginning a sentence) denotes a proper noun which is the works written by that person. Canonically, there are only 4 Gospels in the New Testament: Matthew, Mark, Luke & John.

We have "the gospel of Jesus Christ."
We do not have "the Gospel of Jesus Christ."

You posted this to yourself hero…but…I’ll take the question.

It is morally wrong to KNOWINGLY kill innocents in war. Period. Full stop.

There is no “just” war…if attacked, war may be necessary, but war is definitely not “just”. I know of which I talk.

Here's a question for you. Do the narco terrorists being "murdered" as you say, share any responsibility for their actions and resulting consequences whatsoever, in your mind?

You and Joe Biden on the same ward. Enjoying your chocolate pudding and sharing delusions.

Polite society needs protection from the both of you.

What about the drugs not wanting to be in our country killing our kids escapes people?

I get it, we have a demand issue in the US but if you cripple supply of the poison the demand will have to move on.

We don't know 100% what the government knows, yet everyone is an armchair QB.

Youre exactly like Progressives and their fear of firearms.

A free society accepts certain tradeoffs.

Depends on how "Turn the other Cheek" is interpreted.

The interpretation that "turn the other cheek" applies to personal matters, not state defense, suggests Jesus was advising his followers on how to respond to personal insults and slights, rather than advocating for a complete rejection of all forms of force. This perspective holds that the command is about individual non-retaliation for personal offenses, encouraging followers to let go of bitterness and revenge. In contrast, a government's responsibility is to protect citizens and restrain evil through means like law enforcement and national defense, which is seen as a different role than the individual's personal moral conduct.

Terrorist Definition:

“a person who uses unlawful violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.”

How are they “terrorists”? I’ll help you, they’re not.

So back to your question, do the UNKNOWN INDIVIDUALS share any responsibility for their actions and resulting consequences whatsoever, in your mind?

Maybe when OUR govt provides ACTUAL PROOF of their guilt in narcotrafficking by using a novel concept of stopping boats and seizing drugs like US Coast Guard does on the regular instead of championing drone footage of sanctioned murder we can have a real discussion

No you did not. That’s being dishonest. Just a yes or no would suffice instead of your self-interpretation.
I believe I gave an appropriate answer to the question since it isn't a proper "yes" and "no" question. It's like asking "when did you stop beating your wife?", which has false assumptions built into it.

I already stated that it's typical and good to have due process, but due process will look different in different situations. It will be different for an American citizen vs. a foreign national enemy combatant, for instance.

quote:

It you or i received God’s “justice” on the regular, we would not be breathing.
I agree. All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. It's only by the work of Jesus Christ on the cross that our sins are forgiven, if we repent and receive forgiveness through faith in Christ alone.

However, I wasn't talking about God's justice against sin, but what He tolerates and even has commanded for earthly justice. God said that if man sheds another man's blood, his own blood must be shed (Gen. 9:6), precisely because man is made in God's image.

quote:

Christ nor His Apostles ever taught earthly “justice” as you posit…
I disagree. Jesus acknowledged Pontius Pilate's legal right and authority (John 19:10-11); He taught that the state may require something different from God in terms of the physical vs. the spiritual (Matt. 22:21); and Jesus utilized and didn't condemn civil justice in several of His parables (Matt. 18:23–34; 22:7; Luke 19:14–27).

Moreover, both Paul and Peter taught submission to governing authorities due to their lawful authority to use the sword (justice, including the death penalty): Rom. 13 is clear that the government can use the sword for justice; in Acts 25:11, Paul acknowledged that there are instances where the death penalty for certain crimes is appropriate, and he, himself, wouldn't wish to flee from such a punishment if he deserved it; and Peter upholds that the government is there to punish the wrongdoer in 1 Peter: 2:13-14.

So yes, there is a role for the state to play in terms of justice, punishing evil, and rewarding good behavior that goes beyond the responsibilities of the Christian civilian. Just as there is church authority and family authority clearly laid out in the Scriptures, there is also the sphere of the civil magistrate, that has real authority to punish wickedness in a way that you and I are not authorized to do on our own.

quote:

He taught righteousness which comes through self-sacrifice and living a repentant life.
I believe the Scriptures teach that righteousness comes through faith in Jesus Christ alone, which is proven through acts of self-sacrifice and living a repentant life, but that's more of an aside.

Romans 13:1-5
1 Let everyone submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which derives from God, and whatever authorities exist have been instituted by God. 2 Consequently, anyone who resists authority is rebelling against what God has appointed, and those who so resist will bring judgment upon themselves.

3 Rulers are a source of fear not to those who do good but rather to those who do evil. Do you wish to be free of fear from someone in authority? Then continue to do what is right and you will receive his approval. 4 For he is acting as God’s representative for your welfare. But if you do what is evil, then be afraid for he does not wear a sword for nothing. People in authority are God’s servants to mete out punishment to wrongdoers.

5 Therefore, you are obliged to submit, not only because of fear of punishment but also because of conscience.

We are sorry you're all busted up about the terrorist being killed.

Maybe OUR gov't will go back to how you like it (no borders, drugs pouring in etc etc).

For now OUR gov't is taking care of business.

Meantime, continue to rant on dingbat.

At the end of the day it doesn’t matter what the Bible says. We go by the law.

What does the law say?
