Kentucky Governor Vetoes Voter ID Bill

Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear on Friday vetoed a bill pushed by Republican lawmakers to require Kentucky residents to show a government-issued photo ID in order to vote.
In his veto message, the governor said the measure would create an obstacle to voting, resulting in fewer people casting ballots and “undermining our democracy.”
Beshear said the bill seeks to “resolve a problem that does not exist" because voter impersonation isn’t a problem in Kentucky.
The measure passed the Senate and House by wide margins. The legislature is scheduled to reconvene April 13. Secretary of State Michael Adams urged lawmakers to override the veto.

I probably should know this since I’ve been voting by mail for 20 years since I’m active duty, but how do they validate the current vote by mail.
I haven’t shown my ID in years and I’m not sure if I ever have.

People shouldn't have to show ID at the liquor store or bars because underage drinking isn't a problem.

As bad as Bevin was, all he had to do was be less of an a-hole, and he wins.
What’s funny is Beshear thinks his win was a major victory. He had a 15 point lead last summer and won by 5K votes. All other Republicans won every race. He’s a one legged man in a arse kicking contest.
We just suck when it comes to Republican Governor’s. Not one has ever won re-election. As long as he leaves gun rights alone, which his daddy and most other Democrats here do, I’ll be fine. We’ll wait til 2023 to see which dumbfrick we put up against him.
