I wonder if the dems take the House would Scalise consider a run? I doubt it.

I'd vote for KBB over KBE if that were the only choices. Heck I would vote for Mitch over JBE if that was the only choices. Gawd what a horrible thought!!

Kennedy's a smart dude behind the folksy accent. Also has a great handle on monetary policy, certainly better than Edwards'. Why wouldn't he be at least better?

I suspect what he is truly interested in is whether or not he can get in the runoff.

I would hope almost any republican would be at 51% in the general.

I really wish all the republicans except Kennedy would sit this one out and let's beat JBE in the first round.

Kennedy being my choice of the rumored candidates I think. We do owe Landry for keeping JBE off of the oil companies.

If Scalise enters the race it is his. No republican could beat him.

Maybe there is a Foster out there lurking. I remember when he ran the first time nobody had heard of him and he beat all the republicans spending only a few hundred thousand dollars.

I don't trust Louisiana voters to replace Kennedy with a Republican if he wins.

Well Kennedy would appoint his replacement until an election. No democrat can win that seat unless some one like Woody Jenkins runs and gets in the runoff.

Jindal might be interested in a Senate seat. I suspect he has been hell to live with outside the spot light.

Ask yourself though why would you give up a sweet gig in DC for a shite gig in BR....unless you are just overly homesick?

How anyone with the last name of Edwards ever got elected in Louisiana is insane.

Kennedy, Landry, Abraham, etc. need to sit this out and let Rispone run and get JBE out.

Rispone can do the "tough work" that gets him 1 or 2 terms and won't be worried about his long-term political aspirations.

Edwin did win the governor's race 4 times. LA isn't as conservative or republican as many would think. It's conservatism is a mile wide and an inch deep.
