Don't fall for it. This is just a campaign tactic. They realize DeSantis' relationship with these people is hurting him. So what do you do? You give the appearance that you have distanced yourself from them.

Don't fall for it.

They are all on the same team. How do you not see this?

Trump is enemy numero uno to these people.

Trump took money from Soros and gave money to Kamala Harris. Those are facts, not keyboard conspiracy cracking.

I can admit Trump fricked up on COVID and that Ron did put COVID restrictions in place as well...

The "task force" led by Fauci made recommendations but any actions at state levels were 100% on the state. Noem also bucked a lot of the task force recommendations but doesn't get as much credit for it as Ron did. Ron enacted some restrictions and shut downs. 100% undeniable.

To Ron's credit, he realized it was BS fairly early on and also did a lot to limit state and county power over CV mandates.

Deflection at its finest... I suppose it makes sense to you but like I said, you and folks like you are unhinged on this stuff...

Pretty pathetic...

Ill ask again, did the checkpoints happen or not?

I can agree with this but like you said, he did impose some restrictions and shut downs during COVID...

Virtually everyone did.

Those that realized it quickly should get credit and those that hung on to the bitter end should be derided.

Those that are STILL hanging on should be excoriated.

Agree?

These people are delusional.

FL imposed more mandates and restrictions than SD did under Noem. That's a fact. Noem just doesn't get the proper recognition for keeping her state open. I am not sure why that is. Maybe because Ron is seen as the only one that can "stop" Trump so his actions are pumped up more.

FWIW Noem has also fought the culture war much the same as Ron and some of what FL has done was motivated by bills passed or proposed in SD first.

I give Noem a ton of credit. However, their situations are different.

South Dakota population: 895,000
Florida Population: 22,000,000

The pressures and difficulties associated with that, with much higher density of population, plus an extremely high elderly population, are different pressures. Context matters.

Both should get credit. Noem for her courage from the start, and Desantis for realizing what a bullshite scam the Federal Government was pushing and changing course, along with Kemp and Abbott.

Nope.

Florida Governor Orders Statewide Lockdown

He was in on it at first. I don't fault him because very early on we had no idea what we were facing. I already gave him credit for realizing it was BS pretty quickly and reversing course.

Again, I think Ron and Don throwing Covid jabs at each other is a losing stance for both of them.

Who said anything about Trump?

Are the things you mentioned hurting Trump? They don't seem to be. Maybe DeSantis should try and make an issue of it.

Trump framing DeSantis as an establishment tool is working. The DeSantis campaign recognizes it's working. These stories are an attempt to change that narrative.

I'm trying to help you with the politics. Truth is of little value to either side. This is politics.

This is where we part. You're making them equivalent and they are not.

Covid is 100% a winning issue for Ron. He reversed course early and made one of the most populous states in the nation extremely free, and it boomed as a result.

Trump had Fauci barking orders until the bitter end and was still touting the vaccine as of this year.

Didn't she refuse to sign one of the bills that keeps trans people from playing girls sports and then tried to save face by ordering an executive ban that barely means anything?
