Logically, we should push for everything and overwhelm them.

Dude slow your roll... did you know that a lot of gay people really don't like the trans movement or trans people anyway.

This kind of talk is starting to become what they said it would. Next do you want to say black and white people can't get married?

What does marriage have to do with children? Plenty of people marry and never have kids or have kids without marrying....

Marriage affords certain things upon spousal death, or medical decisions at times. There are also tax benefits potentially for some couples.

Leave the normal gays alone. Why do you care if gay people get married and live happily ever after? What has a gay married couple done to you that has destroyed your life?

Are you willing to apply this standard universally?

A contract.

But the state's interest in getting involved and codifying what was for most of human history a religious ceremony and designation was to promote stability in society and provide an environment for the raising of children so that the state wouldn't have to raise them.

Gay couples can't procreate, so the state's interest in getting involved in their affairs doesn't exist like it does straight people.

No they haven’t. I know a lot of gay people and couples and they are some of the nicest people on earth. They all work hard. They are all conservative.. they hate being labeled with the LGBTQ shite. They love Trump and they love sports. Normal gays and normal lesbians are far from a big problem in this country

That seems pretty obvious. Do you really need someone to explain that to you?

Yea and I bet you spend your Friday night at your town’s only red light counting how many cars go through the intersection too huh?

When you live and work in the middle of major cities in Florida, it’s part of everyday life having to deal with gay people because they are everywhere and they are mostly great people

I don't understand why you quoted that post replying to me.

I haven't said anything that contradicts what you posted.

You people trying to make this country a theocracy are more dangerous than the queers.

There's a reason the Constitution protects people from you forcing them to adhere to your religion.

FYI, Steely Dan loves figs and trannies.

Since that ruling, I can't even say I know of any gay marriages...maybe Ellen or something? There are a billion more important issues. If gay people want to be miserable and married like the rest of it, so be it.

It's that way anywhere in a real society. And NO ONE cares who is gay or not.

All of these frickers live off Hwy 90 somewhere.

The obsession with gay men by many on this board is quite unique. I'm guessing most of them might well be mistaken for trans given their size 48 waist undoubtedly sucks up their dick to the point it looks like a crudely carved out vagina.

Trump has already been the first president to appoint two openly gay men to the highest positions in government. Trump isn't taking gay marriage away. Move on.

You're mischaracterizing the situation. It's actually the opposite of what you're saying.

The government refraining from involving themselves in the love lives of gay people is NOT forcing anyone to adhere to any religion.

In fact, marriage has historically been purely the domain of religion for a lot longer than it has been a legal arrangement.

Therefore, the government getting involved in ANY citizen's love life—straight, gay, or anything—is actually the government appropriating a religious sacrament.

If what you really wanted was for the government to separate itself from religion, you'd be advocating for all legal marriage to go away and for marriage to go back to being a religious designation.

Long before trans took center slide on the slippery slope, it was the normal gays (whatever that might mean) that tried to compel folks like Jack Phillips in CO, the Klein's in OR, and the Huguenin's in NM to bless "gay marriage" against their conscience.

IOW, that which is the cornerstone of our republic, religious freedom as stated in the 1A, cannot harmonize with gay marriage. Scalia knew this well.

Moreover, the rationale used to overturn Roe vs Wade is poised to overturn Obergefell.

Agree with the OP, no reason to delay overturning Obergefell.

Just stop.

The Ls, Bs, Gs and Qs are not the problem.

It’s the goddamn Ts. They are fricking up civil society.
