by encouraging or even pressuring platforms to take down harmful information,

Harmful to whom?

This should send a chill down the spine of every American. She's literally advocating for killing free speech and the first amendment from the Supreme Court.

99% of the population doesn't realize that we're only a couple rapidly aging Supreme Court justices away from totalitarianism.

That is the purpose of the First Amendment and the rest of the Bill of Rights. The Founding Fathers intended to limit the power of government in favor of individual rights.

This was a fantastic discussion yesterday. Two old-school liberals absolutely stunned that the left advocates for censorship now. The NYT piece they talked about was truly Orwellian.

And so does everything else in the constitution. The constitution is not a list of things the people can do. It’s a list of things the government can’t do.

This is almost completely right, but I think it should include that the constitution codifies what the government cannot do for man to preserve his God given rights that were declare in the Declaration of Independence.

This day and age, we often put all our faith and efforts in preserving the constitution, but the reality is, and what the founding father's intended (most of them), was when the constitution no longer preserved our declared rights it was to be replaced with a more perfect version.

In other words the, the Declaration is sacred, the constitution and the construct it creates is imperfect. Jefferson believed this full heartedly.

The left lives for retaliation. They call for it. They promote it. They refuse to stop it.

Unless you are on the right.

quote:

In nearly two hours of oral arguments, the justices debated whether the Biden administration crossed the constitutional line, and whether its outreach efforts with private companies amounted to permissible persuasion or encouragement versus illegal coercion or threats of retaliation.

OH, THE IRONY.

WAIT -- and we presume it's the Politburo Stalinists who shall define "harmful information"? Or "misinfo"and "disinfo"?

NOT remotely Constitutional, Ms. Brown. Go back to school. Like...9th Grade Civics class.

We're getting set up to witness yet just one more over-officious Goob operation designed to booby-trap and criminalize Free Speech and dissemination of truth.

I wonder if she feels like the government actually has a duty to take steps to protect the citizens of this country by enforcing our immigration laws.
