Our Congressman posts a thing on FB advocating for our Governor to open up sooner. The above is the response he got from someone taking issue with him.

I threw back some "Consent of the governed" stuff, to which she replied that these measures are, in fact, "Constituonal" and that I should educate myself. The irony is beyond the pale.

She is convinced that unconditional and obsequious deference is the appropriate tack, and that there are no absolute rights. It boggles my mind how people live with this mentality.

Ask her if she would have obeyed all the laws in 1930s/40s Germany.

Ask her if there was a law saying that, from this point forward, no one was allowed to protest due to safety concerns, would she have the same attitude.

If people could be trusted not to speed, we wouldn't have to ban private use of vehicles!!!

Tell her that it sounds like she would've returned a fugitive slave to it's master like a good, obedient citizen.

Florists need to have a license to arrange flowers! They don't just make up laws if there wasn't a need to do so!!

Was when their opposition was the media.

9/10 I'll back the blue over the media.

Back the blue was never a "police do no wrong" movement.

Why would the ability to be arrested change your view of these rules?
