9/10 Kanye cares nothing about the politics of Trump. Kanye is a narcissistic person who cares only about himself. He has always prided himself on being an individual, always saying things to piss a certain group of people off. He hates "group think". He does not get easily offended by people talking about him or even hating him. You will either absolutely love Kanye, or absolutely hate him. There is no in between.

Kanye is supporting Trump because he knows that is the exact opposite of what most black people are doing. Not to mention he nd Trump have similar personalities.

Kanye cares absolutely nothing about whether or not Trump will be a good president or not.

No, independent thought is not tolerated by the totalitarian progressives. It wasn't allowed by Stalin, Mao and it won't be allowed by their intellectual descendants.

I believe he genuinely likes trump. Rap is always talking about getting money, fame, bitches, etc and trump encapsulates all of that. I guarantee black men didn’t care much for Hillary personally or even see the last president’s effeminate gay boy attitude as a model they want to emulate either.

You're likely correct to a certain extent, but I also think that Kanye has been around enough to see/realize that the left doesn't care about Chicago or truly improving the lives of black Americans en masse. Kanye sees that Trump has at least paid lip service to trying something different.

I don't think Trump has come through on his "inner city" talk TBH. I'm surprised that Kanye is still on board to be frank. Trump should use this as a reminder to revisit Flint, MI and get that fixed. He should dig into inner city initiatives that are based on a Republican platform (business funding, tough crime measures but unprecedented rewards as well, etc).

I think Kanye just senses where the herd has lined up and he tries to distinguish himself. I don’t think it’s necessarily calculated I just think he’s a very odd dude. IMO he’s not doing this to make money. This will cost him record sales.
