That's why I said the idea of the only two metrics being:

1. consenting
2. adults

as a blanket philosophy for any decriminalization is stupid. I did say that didn't I? But that was the statement... can't criminalize consensual behavior of consenting adults. It sounds good for the cameras. It's a terrible idea as a philosophy. It doesn't apply in almost all the cases. That statement needs a qualifier such as "as long as it doesn't hurt others".

And if cloth masks can be mandated and our military can require a non-vaccine vax during a recruitment crisis surely somebody will make the argument that legalized prostitution is some form of health hazard. That statement is unrealistic, but we're talking politics here (why Kamala said what she said), so reality isn't the bar we're shooting for.

In essence what this boils down to is the left has long picked and chose what's "choice" and what isn't and every statement, for and against, politically, is now hypocritical and divorced from reality. "My body my choice" is ok for abortion, which some call baby murder, but not ok for Covid.

After boxing themselves, and us along with them, there's no room to maneuver any longer and common sense is gone. Only pandering for elections is what remains.
