So, if a sex worker has a pimp is it consensual behavior?
Are you smart enough to see that these are two separate issues?
And pimps would not be necessary if not for the black market.

Houston isnt short in the Massage Parlor business.

I suspect this is sort of a naïve way of looking at it.
Do you know a lot of chicks who are just itching to be outright whores, if only it would be made "legal"?

yes, the left has long wanted universal background checks on all firearm TRANSFERS
FIFY
The background checks (through a FFL and with a fee) will be required for non-cash transfers of firearms which would include the rifle loaned to a friend/relative you take on their first deer hunt.
A second background check (and additional fee) would be needed to get the rifle back.
Decide to skip one or both of those transfer fees? It's a felony if Mr. Green Jeans stops you and checks the paperwork (and say good bye to owning or possessing a firearm for the rest of your life).

I think Onlyfans shows there are a LOT of them out there, and we're not even including Insathots who are often nothing more than high end escorts

I'm just curious if that's sort of the limit, though, or if there are lots more really being held back by the legality restriction, who are just raring to go otherwise.

know someone in the Colorado legislature who has told me that after the election the dems plan to introduce a law lowering the age of consent to 12
I have heard similar rumors, but 13 was the age.
And they will make it retroactive so you can't be prosecuted for something you already did.
And it will erase anyone's criminal history, so prisoners will be released

So there are not pimps in places where prostitution is legal today?
And in many ways you cannot separate the two... It is very complicated...

There are more sex workers currently on this planet than at any time in history. An extremely small percentage of them have pimps.
This whole "pimp" bogeyman is moronic.
Pimps are in the protection racket, for an illegal trade. They would be virtually non-existent if prostitution were legal.

Felony?
Trump wasn't prosecuted for having sex with porn stars.

I think a lot of people here have a hard time grasping how much the stigma of being a sex worker has changed by generations.

Not as they are known in the united states. In Europe, pimps are the managers and are regulated just as any other "talent" manager would be.
It's extremely difficult to force someone into a legal trade. Does it happen? I'm sure it does. Slavery still exists, even in the United States.
But with legal recourse and the protection of laws, it is very difficult for slavery and/or sexual servitude to take place.

According to a lot of information we have legalized prostitution does not reduce sex trafficking.

Based on what information? Prostitution is illegal in almost the entire United States. I find your comment very difficult to believe. It is likely based on a very tortured definition of "legalized"
What true legalization does is provides transparency and the protection of laws, and makes it easier to fight sex trafficking.

Sounds like freedom to me. If adult 1 pays adult 2 for sex, that’s freedom.

We can't criminalize consensual behavior
Unless:
- Someone consents to work and an employer consents to pay less than a minimum amount
- Someone consents to pay and a seller consents to sell for greater than a "price gouging" limit.
- Someone consents to pay and a landlord consents to accept a rent greater than some "rent control" limit.
- Some non-union worker consents to work for some employer who consents to hire them.
And on and on and on....

I guess this is possible. It also seems possible that, in some ways, it could simply provide more legal cover for it.
I think, at best, this is the type of thing that would just be a wash versus the situation we currently have now.
