Astonishes me that adults 30 and up forget (supposedly) how clueless they were in their teens.
Acquaintance of a friend, few years back. Lashed out, that she and her buds were "not feckless idiots" in high school. Um, ok. But there is a REASON high schools have Young Republicans clubs and not Young Dems- because damn near EVERY US teen aligns with Democrats.
Myself? I actually don't think many of my views have changed since those days. But *do* cringe at the idea of lowering the voting age,realize my opinions were shallowly supported.
Kids too young to enroll in the military should not be able to vote! If anything, one might argue the voting age should be raised; it is now commonly accepted that the human brain does not fully mature until the mid 20s.

Lowering the voting age has nothing to do with voting.
It has to do with lowering the "legal" age. 18 is legal age. How long before it becomes 16 if they're allowed to vote?

More non-taxpayers voting for spending? I can see why a prominent dem would be for it. Now, let’s find out what age she thinks kids should be able to consent to puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and gender reassignment surgery. I’d bet it’s even younger than 16. Because she’s a monster.
