Still not about what you talked about. BTW if you know anything about ConLaw, you would know that the President cannot compel you via EO to do anything...unless you work for the government.

She's a moron to think she can sign such an EO and not have it immediately shotdown by the courts, but LWNJ's are a special kind of stupid that never let reality get in the way of their talking points.

Buyback programs have been done before and they’re not unconstitutional

It’s an arms length transaction that involves a willing seller and a willing buyer for a gun

Nothing too outrageous there

According to “experts” on here, that doesn’t work…

Could try? They have already been “tried”. In extremely dangerous, crime ridden, murder capitals that are democrat ran cities.

What you mean “try”?

Why do you folks NEVER propose harsh sentencing enhancements for gun crimes? Never. Why is that?

Any answers? Something? Anything?

What? I was simply listing stupid shite she could try to do by EO - pointing out that it's absurd to assume she's going to try to "confiscate" guns by EO immediately if elected.

I suppose you missed the part where she said "mandatory."

As usual you have your panties in a wad over some word that you think isn't accurate.
It isn't "accurate". It was made up out of whole cloth. This is no different than all the "Project 2025" hysteria that was manufactured pertaining to Trump.

So spare me your faux outrage and use it instead for the Commie who just might be installed as our next president
I'll get back to you when I have a direct line in to her instead of just posting on an LSU message board - like YOU.

I take her at her word.

How in the fk can you support her? You have to be either a communist, or you make your whole living off of welfare and are scared you are going to lose it. There cannot be a single policy you support of hers if you are a hard working american.
I DON'T support her. I support telling the truth about what she's saying so she can be effectively defeated in the coming election in which I am voting for Trump. I further hope for truthtelling in Senate races so that the number of republican Senate seats can be the highest that is plausible.

Turning into the Left and just making up shite out of whole cloth is not an effective long-term tactic.

So do I.

“We have to have a buyback program, and I support a mandatory gun buyback program,” she said. “It’s got to be smart, we got to do it the right way. But there are 5 million [assault weapons] at least, some estimate as many as 10 million, and we’re going to have to have smart public policy that’s about taking those off the streets, but doing it the right way.”

Did Congress act when Trump used executive action to ban bump stocks?

Also, how did Trump's executive order-ban ultimately work out?

What about Trump's signing of H.J. Res. 40 in early 2017? How did that ultimately work out? How about when he narrowed/removed policies used by the DoJ to improperly flag people in the NICS? How about when he blocked PL 105-277?

Has nothing to do with whether or not she would immediately attempt to do so by EO. The thread title is simply fake news.

I wonder who she thinks will take them? I would imagine most law enforcement and / or enlisted military would refuse.

Are you not aware that the very conservative & MAGA city of Central was the first police chief to arrest a pastor for exercising his 1A bc he followed orders like they all do.

How many cops arrest people over unconstitutional gun laws?

Cops are the enforcers of govt & their oath is to their pension.

Still waiting to see her supporting EO as the means to do so.

Literally, 0% chance this would happen.

Of these I think the only one that would get support is harsher penalties for offenders

The rest of these infringe on common everyday American gun owners.

My concern is not that she'd be successful in her "mandatory buyback" program. It's that she would attempt it. Who knows what the unintended (?) consequences of that would be

People should know who she is before they vote for her.
