75% of the people polled were registered Democrats more than likely. Polls mean nothing.

https://www.cookpolitical.com/survey-research/2024-swing-state-project/14Aug2024-toplines

Looks like 36% GOP, 30% Independent, 34% Dem.

Voting patterns: 43% usually vote Dem, 42% usually vote GOP.

Of those that voted in 2020, 48% voted Trump and 48% voted Biden.

One of the more interesting parts of the survey are the favorability ratings:
Biden: 43%FAV - 56%UNFAV
Trump: 47%FAV - 52%UNFAV
Harris: 49%FAV - 49%UNFAV

The election's going to be won or lost on Harris's unfavorability ratings. Trump's aren't going to change. Trump has to drive her unfavorables up. Also, pinning hopes on a debate is not the way to do it.

That isn't being "off." Polls are a snapshot in time. Polls may show Harris leading right now, but that doesn't mean they stay that way. Sentiments change, voter enthusiasm can change, etc.

This is where our opinions differ. I think polls are useless in terms of factual information. Garbage in, garbage out. Polls create narratives, and that’s it.

Now I will admit that those narratives are very powerful. Kamala Harris, for example, has yet to gain one single primary vote. That is because in 2019, sundry polls showed that people hated her, and she was compelled to drop out before the voting started.

Yes we did. The cult screws us again.

BDR/Youngkin would have been a landslide.

But what they're attempting is to run the idea of her, not her. If they can do that she might win.

It's amazing how many people still can't see how they are being manipulated. These people are fully aware the media lies to them but still willingly believe the lies. It makes no sense.

Lol. A Republican has won the popular vote one time since 1992. Trump won the most electoral votes of any Republican in a Presidential election since the 1980's. I swear, some people on the right are as unburdened by history as Kamala Harris wants to be.

How is the cult going to explain it off if Trump loses again?

Losing to a candidate as bad as Harris.

The latest YouGov polls is Dems +10.
Harris is only ahead +2 in this poll.

This is why their polls are irrelevant.

The trumpeteers will scowl and say that the polls are wrong. Trump is the first to remind everyone when he leads in the polls though.

Anecdotally, I can say that people are uncomfortable with the way that trump is acting and it’s making them uncomfortable because they do not want Kamala under any circumstance.

He’s running against the weakest ticket I have ever seen and polling is close! His messaging is muddled. He can’t seem to make a consistent case for why people should vote for him over Kamala. That kind of stuff matters to the undecided.

It’s as if trump doesn’t want to bring more people into the tent.

Bro don’t you know any poll that shows Harris ahead is fake. Trump will win in a blowout or it’s rigged

It’s fake news she’s gained ground every week and keeps out fundraising Trump.

Everyone on here doesn’t think she’s a threat so there’s nothing to worry about.

I think it will come down to the debate. If she does the word salad or whatever vocal gobbleygook usually comes out of her mouth and she will be in trouble.

If she can answer the questions intelligently and not seem to be an imbecile she may do well. And she should do well because she will have had the questions for a week and her staff should have her prepared.

But my instinct is that Trump will do something to goad her into some reply and get her off her mark. Then it will be all downhill for her then. Something like the way that Tulsi gutter Kamala. Or bringing up the flip flopping stances.

It will be interesting to see where the Harris campaign devotes resources. Her going after North Carolina doesn't feel great. Trump needs to take the southern states off the board so he can battle her out in the Rust Belt.

The fact that Harris is only up 1% in these polls in her honeymoon period is sad. Biden/Hilldawg would be a shamed at her
