Man is taken to court for not making a wedding cake for gay couple. It's his company he can do what he wants, but he could just say, " I'm too busy to make the cake"...

Or, he could make a really shitty looking cake. Offer a 12 year old ten dollars to give it their best shot.

But that wouldn’t get him all that “LOOOOOOK AT MEEEEEEEEEEE” attention. I’m pretty sure that’s the Christian way. It’s like Jesus said “When you are persecuted because of me, make a big huge deal out of it so you can get on the news and throw a big fit...”

Does the Constitutional analysis change based on the frosting?

The problem with that is that he probably doesn’t want to attach his name to inferior quality.

And there’s definitely something to not wanting to be associated with what you perceive as bad actions. I can guarantee you that in my hometown the women at the local church would’ve blackballed a store that promoted something not in line with the teachings of the church. They quit using an electrician because he did work at a strip club . So, I can totally understand how someone could make a business decision to not participate in certain activities... like gay weddings or coming out parties or gender transitioning parties (or whatever they call that shite).

No but it changes if it is not a protected as a creative act. The USSC effectively said you can't have a "we don't serve gays" policy but you also can't be forced to use your artistic talents to design something offensive to your faith

I don't understand these businesses saying they won't do a cake for personal/religious beliefs after all the press in the past years on the subject. These business owners that end up in the news are really dumb for not giving a separate valid excuse.

Distinguish the facts and circumstances of this case from those of the previous one.

1) can i have a cake thats blue on the outside but pink on the inside for my babies gender reveal party?

2) can i have a cake thats blue on the outside but pink on the inside for my gender reveal party?

3) can i have a cake decorated to celebrate my lesbian wedding?

#3 he can say no to all day long verified by USSC. If the cake from #1 does not offend him then he may be required to bake #2.. maybe not.

More facts are needed. Is the baby 4 years old and the parents have pushed him/her into their own twisted gender-equality nonsense? Can he refuse to bake a cake for what he believes to be supporting child abuse?

He's taking a stand. Something that got us this country to begin with. Look what simply saying "I"m am too busy" (or its equivalent) has done for our country today.
The libs want us to roll over for everything.

Is this the standard? Are you sure?

USSC effectively said? That’s not how it works.

Hell no. A business person should be able to refuse service for any reason. That's right, any reason.

Why not have a sign that says.."We reserve the right to refuse service at any time"?
