OR....and follow me on this....he could have just made the cake and taken the money and bought something nice for himself...

Maybe his faith is more important to him than $50.??
You people!

Actually I would make the perverts their cake. They would be foolish to eat it though.

Why hasn't someone gone to a gay owned bakery and ordered a wedding cake that says.."Marrige..One man + one woman"
* of course shop for the most SJW gay bakery you can find, wherever that is*

Silly goose. Signs can state things but they can't actually read.

Fine, if that is what the baker wants. If not you're just being...well..a silly goose.

I like the way you think.

So he should have to lie about it like a leftist would? He has the right to refuse service to anyone.

USSC effectively said? That’s not how it works.
...for example, a member of the clergy who objects to same-sex marriage cannot be required to perform such marriages. But at the same time, Kennedy explained, the exception cannot be allowed to swallow the rule, with the result that “a long list” of people would be allowed to refuse to provide services for same-sex marriages.

That's different from refusing service due to sexual orientation.
If I'm gay, and I want a stock wedding cake, that's not the same thing as a Christian asking for a message on a wedding cake.
That said I'm fine with denial of service for any reason.

But that wouldn’t get him all that “LOOOOOOK AT MEEEEEEEEEEE” attention. I’m pretty sure that’s the Christian way. It’s like Jesus said “When you are persecuted because of me, make a big huge deal out of it so you can get on the news and throw a big fit...”
Yeah. What Christ would really want you to do is lie about your beliefs to make life easier for you.

Yep who doesnt love the attention of a lawsuit.
Are you drunk?

Just give them a sandwich and tell them that "it identifies as a cake."

My guess is that this is a setup for the GoFundMe campaign. Right wing outrage is extremely profitable these days.

No but it changes if it is not a protected as a creative act. The USSC effectively said you can't have a "we don't serve gays" policy but you also can't be forced to use your artistic talents to design something offensive to your faith
bmy, we are in alignment, must be Christmas! You are correct on this.
I did like the analysis of the difference one "expert" gave.
He said refusing to serve a customer at Woolworths diner is discrimination, but making a customized cake is a service and the maker's image could be affected. The same could be said if a racist organization asked an Obama speechwriter to write a speech for them.
