Sounds like the whole unit was a mess and I can give sympathy being 2004. I just need clarification how the enemy was a threat after being secured and walking away in custody.

Ed said he had the guys head in his scope and couldn’t see the handcuffing down below.

Article I linked and stout is quoting has a bunch of good stuff in it

Ed said he was watching the guy through a scope per the sarges instructions to keep a gun on him and had no idea he was cuffed since he was aimed at the guys head. That was in the article I just read.

Was Waruch under investigation when he testified against you? Here in civilian world, any deal a witness is getting is disclosed to the defendant and the jury, goes to his credibility.

Why was that not the case in your trial?

I am glad that the article was posted. It cleared a lot up about your incident

No why did you carry a baton from Louisiana to DC?

If you can give us a good answer to that, it will change my mind a lot

I’ve said this before, this will be the last time. He was fighting sarge. Sarge was trying to flex cuff him. When he told me, while wrestling with the guy, to shoot him if he moves again, I from then on was looking through a “red dot” optic. It reduced my fov considerably and I was unaware the cuffs were put on. The guy lunged/fell onto sarge and I fired. I thought he had a knife. He obviously was cuffed but I didn’t know it.

I regret it to this day but in war shite happens

I do have a question out of curiosity.

Looking at news articles (which could be wrong), it looks like it was almost 3 years after January 6th that you were arrested.

Was there a daily anxiety that it was always a “when” they would come knocking at your door OR was there ever a time where you thought that you might just not be on their radar?

When the treatment of others arrested start leaking out, did going to lay low in another country for a bit ever become an option in your mind?

Don't remember asking for your sympathy.

But you got to love when the fake morality crowd shows their true colors. You seem like a wonderful person. I'm sure all your friends and family just love having you around.

Thanks for clarifying.

Glad the article was posted John Barron also didn’t help the cause by calling people names from the info we had at that time in the thread. Took it personal people weren’t patriots because we formed a thought.

Again, like I said in my very first post in the thread, I’m glad you’re out. Stay at home from now on man.

I had my attorney contacting the fbi for 18 months prior to my arrest. They ignored him and then came at me with a 50 person task force for the spectacle of the arrest on 1/20/24

This ama should be interesting. I'm curious why you went. Into the capital that day and what you intended to do in there?

Never thought of just walking into an FBI field office and surrendering?

We have a dishonorably discharged vet convicted of manslaughter on camera beating cops. You’re surprised they brought the cavalry for you? And then you were found with weapons?

I mean come on dude.

Guess what. I still don't know what the full truth is in this manner. Ed know. I don't. You can't take his word for it. You can't say his word is a lie. You don't know.

I will treat Ed as if he is innocent.

One thing I know is that in war you don't treat the unknowns/enemy as innocent until proven guilty. You treat them as unknown even after proven to be not the enemy. People playing armchair quarterback get all high and mighty when people have been thru hell.

War should never happen. There has NEVER been a war where innocents have not been murdered. Is it wrong? Absolutely. If ever there was a case of "until you have walked a mile in his shoe" philosophy it is dealing with me exposed to war.

What most needs clarifying in any discussion of this nature is that decades of fighting these war of perpetual Empire puts our armed forces in impossible situations that invariably end in chaotic disaster.

I’m aware. We still volunteered though and didn’t get dropped in there. In the case of the OP, myself and many others we wanted to go. As an adult 20 years later we do realize it was bullshite.

The article says the prisoner calmed down and was secured as OP was watching. Did he think his Sgt wasn’t securing him?

The same folks that have been calling the media fake since 2016 now consider every news article 100% gospel.
