I'm sure most on here know this, but I just learned about the age restrictions on minors in the voting booth. Only 12 and under can accompany an adult...what if you have a 14 or 15 year old wanting to learn about the actual, physical process.

What's the reasoning behind this?

The Dems want the teens to have their own voter registration card.

Pull up a sample ballot on Sec of State website and show them that.

The part in the voting booth is easy and 18 year olds should be able to figure it out pretty easily their first time. The hard part is trying to be informed on the local races that don’t get much media coverage before you go to the polls

I guess the same could be said about taking your 14 year-old to a strip joint with you. That could be a teachable moment also but these damn laws we have somehow always get in the way.

My wife brought our 5 year old into the "booth" on Saturday. Nothing was said.

When I was little they had a separate, smaller voting machine for that purpose.

No, just age restrictions that aren't necessary.

You have a strip joint that allows 12 year-olds, but not 14 year-olds? Strange place

Seeing the list of candidates makes me anxious and nervous. Am I allowed to bring my service animal in the booth?

I don't know man. I've had computers basically my whole life and some of those voting booths I've been in had some goofy mechanisms.

This year was great though.
