My comments were hypothetical before the footage was released. Once the footage was released I commented that he did the right thing and had no choice.

It was a well trained shooting...

It's a pistol, slightest bit off and he could've hit the gal in pink.

You do realize that was a joke because she was a very large 16.

I'm well aware of what shooting skills are required. And yes the reality is it was a very good shot.

What ever happened to warning shots?

Probably need to bring that back

perhaps it would snap people out of their stupidity in the heat of the moment

but two girls in a knife fight, what could go wrong

You hypothesized about warning shots... There's nothing to hypothesize about there.

When you see the video of what took place it's obvious he did the right thing. Are hypothetical situations not allowed to be talked about?

Again, you hypothesized about a LEO rolling up on a scene and firing a warning shot. You're welcome to hypothesize about anything you'd like, and then you need to live with what others think about your hypothesis.

This is right up there with Christie Brinkley having once said that it would be more fun watching a football game if the players had lights on their helmets so you knew who had the ball. I mean...it was just an idea, but it was an incredibly ridiculous one made by someone who had no idea what the flying frick she was talking about.

And honestly, her's had more merit.

That’s good that you acknowledged the officer did the right thing. The fact is that a warning shot would never be appropriate or safe even if the girl was 20 feet away like in your possible scenario.

If he killed a 15 year old girl who was holding knife and people in here support him.

You're a fricking idiot. I hope you dont contaminate the gene pool. How was he supposed to know her age or if she's the one who called the cops? He sees a unstable hysterical woman running at him with a knife. There's no choice here. Stupid games. Stupid prizes. You fricking dumb arse

Anyone who looks at Ma’Kiah and thinks “that’s a 15-year-old girl” should automatically be assumed to be a psychic.

Absolutely amazing shoot by he officer. He literally had a split second to make a decision to fire. Not only did he eliminate the threat he kept the other victim safe and uninjured. I honestly don't see how he identified the knife so fast and managed a good shoot all in fractions of a sec. I know I could not have done that.

This is why I said if.

I didn’t know the facts. Yes. When I as a parent can look and say, if I were the other girls parents, I’d be thanking that cop.

It’s easy to see that no matter how sad this is, it’s not on the cop. And besides the dead girls parents, that cop will have that in him for the rest of his life.
