I’m curious how his recent rulings may affect the other cases that Wade prosecuted? Will the defendants be able to appeal based on the fact the phon call charges were tossed and Wade being tossed off the case? If so, will this weaken the RICO case they are building against Trump? Thoughts?

That is absolutely what will happen. We must try not to slip and slide on the can of worms that McAfee has opened.

Phone call is likely irrelevant to other Fulton County cases.

Fani perjuring herself during the disqualification hearing? That may be a bitch for her because it draws questions about any case she handled.

Not at all - that case is rock solid and has already resulted in multiple guilty pleas.

I think you’re missing the point, the “guilty” plaintiffs now have a very strong case to have the charges dropped for misconduct in the DA’s office.

But isn’t that phone call what started the entire investigation? Tainted fruit and all?

The finding was specifically that it was not improper, good luck to them on that particular appeal.

What other cases? Wade was a special prosecutor with almost no prosecution experience. He worked as a municipal judge, and has a small Family Law practice.

I haven't looked very hard, but I don't know if he has successfully prosecuted anyone.

The RICO case isn't very strong, but the Judge has already said they can still rely on the phone calls as part of the RICO case. They just were not properly pled as separate crimes.

?? bless your heart.

Wade has never tried a criminal case in his life. He’s a personal injury attorney.

Knowing this would you not try to appeal your case?

Additionally, according to White House visitor logs, Mr. Nathan Wade visited White House lawyers prior to indictment of President Trump, while DA Willis met with staff (Mary McCord) from the January 6 Committee prior to the indictment.

The scope of the political lawfare is in bright sunlight now. The Georgia prosecutor, meeting with Biden lawyers prior to the indictment against Biden’s political opposition, is a big issue that has yet to surface in front of Judge McAfee.

The legal ramifications of DA Fani Willis being discharged from the case for conflicts of interest and lying to the court are still unknown.

Young Thug's YSL RICO trial to resume this week

Atlanta's ongoing, slowly moving but highly watched Young Slime Life racketeering case resumes this week as the longest trial in Georgia's history.

Why it matters: Prosecutors could set a precedent in RICO's use after alleging a Grammy-winning Atlantan created a music group to conceal a vast conspiracy of murder, robberies, assaults, drug dealing and more.

It's created a media circus that's been fueled by several twists — including the release of a new YSL album amid the case featuring some of rap's biggest names.

Catch up quick: Jeffery Williams, aka rapper Young Thug, says YSL is just a music label.

But YSL co-founder Trontavious Stephens said in a plea deal on Jan. 4 that YSL was a criminal street gang, WSB-TV reports.

The latest: Testimony is currently centered on Adrian Bean, who prosecutors say drove a getaway car with Williams following a shooting and admitted it to detectives in 2013. Williams was not previously charged in the shooting, but it is included in his indictment.

But Bean has recently testified repeatedly that he doesn't remember anything about the alleged incident — or the conversation about it with detectives — due to drug use.

Timeline: Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis alleges Williams co-founded YSL in affiliation with the Bloods gang in Southeast Atlanta in 2012 and promoted their crimes in songs and social media.

Ten years later police arrested Williams during a home raid in Buckhead. Willis filed an 88-page indictment against him and 27 others including Sergio Kitchens, aka rapper Gunna.

The trial began Nov. 27, 2023 after a jury selection process that lasted 10 months — also the longest in Georgia history.

Five other people are on trial with Williams after a series of plea deals and severances.

The YSL trial has been postponed several times, including most recently in December after co-defendant Shannon Stillwell was stabbed in jail. He returned to court amid his recovery when the trial resumed on Jan. 2.

Brian Steel, Williams' attorney, told the AJC that the trial might last until Super Bowl 2025.

... this is an example of just what they were going for:

1. Media circus

2. Deep pocket paycheck

3. Endless limelight

4. Muddled players (such as people stabbed in prison)

You are aware that Wade was hired as a special prosecutor, tasked with a RICO case. There were 19 co-defendants associated with this RICO case, of those, at least 4 have pled guilty or plea-bargained. So even though you are correct that prior to this RICO he may have never prosecuted anyone, to this point, Wade as at least 4 prosecutions associated so far, without the production of these 4 defendants, there is no RICO!

You are so funny. You seem to think that these people are guilty. I’d love to see how you held up under an uncontrolled government with unlimited resources coming after your arse and the only way t0 save your family would be to cop a plea that stops it. You libs are funny. I hope you find out one day personally how terrible this situation is.
