told you this would backfire.

There's no backfire. Sanctuaries, activist organizations and judges have been exposed. This is going to get worse for them. The end result is that they're going to try and force the invaders to stay in places like Florida and Florida is then going to completely deny them benefits, medical care, entry into schools etc. The federal government has no power to force states to face this burden or shoulder the harmful effects of an invasion that the federal government has set upon the states - they have effectively declared war on our nation. This is a guaranteed L for the federal government.

I'm asked why I sent them there, I am saying "because I want to make sure they are living better and taken care of". Martha's Vineyard is such a lovely and caring place

Sanctuary city status.

Yeah, that didn't make sense to me. I've been wondering how Ron is dodging some type of kidnapping charges or false imprisonment claims. I'm guessing the illegals are signing a waiver?

As others have mentioned, DeSantis won his motion to dismiss. Just about all the other plaintiffs, including Montgomerie and Perla Huerta won their motion to dismiss. Vertol ( the charter company) won their motion on dismissing three counts, but still must face the lawsuit on the other counts. Full decision hosted on LCR

DeSantis has a number of potential protections available. If the other alleged conspirators would face legal jeopardy, it would probably be in Texas as that is where most of their conduct took place.

Don't think this won't be hammered at the trial.

Also, I suspect this judge has some MV connections for which he should have recused.

If I am a private company hired to transport passengers- they must prove actual knowledge that the actions I took were with full knowledge of the misrepresentations made to the people suing.

How would I know what transpired.

This case ends with a whimper

The court also said that “Unlike ICE agents legitimately enforcing the country’s immigration laws ... the Court sees no legitimate purpose for rounding up highly vulnerable individuals on false pretenses and publicly injecting them into a divisive national debate.”

The question should be, which state should be burdened with unwanted illegal immigrants. Why would Martha's Vineyard be exempt and Florida be responsible?????
And how can people who are not American citizens be afforded the right to our court system?????

Looking forward to how this plays out

Martha's Vineyard is still a sanctuary city. Send them more. Lawfare be damned.

Biden can fly these frickers across our international border and into whichever state he wants to burden, but states can't ship them across state lines? You're right, this will be interesting.

Seems like the court has already determined the facts

Migrants dodged a bullet by not getting that chef job at Obamas.

I think the claims are based in people alleging they were promised jobs and shelter at the new location.

Did MV not claim that they were a sanctuary place for said illegals? Did they not openly advertise it? Sounds like they need to be named in the suit correct.

They’re not “Florida cases”. Landing in Mass. creates “minimum contacts” for purposes of International Shoe case.

Martha's Vineyard is a sanctuary city. Why did they call the military on the illegal aliens that landed there?

"Martha's Vineyard" was not a party to the transactions/conversations in Texas or Florida.

This is a dumb take.
