I wish the response letter from Breazale Sachse would become public. They earned their money so far.

somewhere along the line it went from you're free to make you're own decisions but you're not free from the consequences to the government imposes fabricated consequences to force you to make a decision they agree with.

So it's legal for an employee to ask literally anything of his employees because people are free to leave the job?

Agreed. Race, sex, gender, the federally-protected ones. But nothing about vax status.

As I've said, those rights were tragically ceded with rulings favoring random drug tests which some here applauded years ago.

Can at will employers hold you below 2000 calories a day?

Can they require you to drink 6 beers a day?

I can mandate all my employees wear purple thongs every day or they’re fired. I can mandate a lot of things as an employer in control of my workplace.

So, when every other hospital system imposes the same requirement, can they then sue for collusion?

Sounds like the board is pro-union now. Never thought I would see the day.

Your argument just doesn't hold water. There's some things you can ask of employees and there's something you can. Asking them to receive medical treatment is one thing you can't. At least in a free society.

Seem like a good time to collectively bargain.

They can say don’t eat over 2000 calories or you’re fired or drink 6 beers or you’re fired.

Yes. You don’t have a vested interest in your job absent a contract or civil service.

This is the end result of roughshod capitulation to capital and business at the expense of workers and labor. Bet you wish you had a Union to protect you right about now.

I consider Union to be an option of last resort in a system of collusion between all competitors and the government in which there's actually no competition.

But a union is just another form of tyranny you sign up for.

Yeah, it seems like the choice between a job and medical treatment is crossing the line especially when you were already on the job and the line shifted to make you receive medical treatment while on the job. The medical treatment was never part of the original deal.

Collusion is an anti-consumer thing. These are employees. That one may get tossed on… No standing

This seems like a very straightforward outcome. In the absence of a specific violation of law, private employers can set their own work rules.

People file frivolous lawsuits all the damn time looking for a cheap score. I’ve only heard the phrase “no standing” used infrequently for decades. Now, all of a sudden, not one swinging dick in America has standing anymore. And it has to do with medical tyranny, not just trying to make a quick buck.

I sincerely hope enough employees of that hospital walk out and call the administration’s bluff to force an about-face.

coercion is not freedom. the govt is fabricating unnecessary consequences to encourage people to reach the "right" conclusion. if someone held a gun to your head and said they'd shoot you if you didn't stop being a dumbass would that be freedom? you can't stop being a dumbass anymore than people can just give up their means for providing for their families.
