Jordan Faircloth vs Louise Hines Myers

For those interested in the District Judge runoff for the 19th Judicial District Court on April 29th (early voting started Saturday), there are some things you should be aware of if you think these are 2 conservative candidates that would be similar judges.
Louise Hines Myers is in no way a conservative or even until last year (when preparing for this race) a Republican. There is a reason the EBR Republican Party refused to endorse Hines Myers despite her well funded campaign: She’s Pro Abortion. She’s anti death penalty. She’s soft on crime (despite her dishonest ad campaign, she’s been a weak prosecutor). She’s weak on the 2nd amendment. She is a donor to liberal democrats. Please review the donor list to Myers...it's quite clear who is funding this campaign - personal injury lawyers, current government officials responsible for the mess in Baton Rouge, and democrats.
Now…Hines Myers does have a lot of family money and a lot of family friends/BR establishment support with a lot of money, hence the slick campaign which is based on very little relative to the truth. She's done a nice job scrubbing social media history to conceal her ideology. In her previous life she was loudly pro choice and anti gun. If you want another liberal judge very well connected with old money Baton Rouge, she’s definitely your candidate.
In fact, Louise Hines Myers can’t even vote in this election. She doesn’t live in the district.
Faircloth is a lifelong no BS conservative. What you see is what you get.
I’d add that it took Myers 3 tries to pass the bar exam. So we’re not talking about a Rhodes scholar here. If you want a competent conservative on the District Court, you really only have 1 option – Faircloth.

I’m riding with Faircloth but I have a bad feeling it will be an uphill battle because of Myers connections

I don’t live in BR but I could tell she was to the left just by who was supporting her on my instagram and twitter feeds

I was going to vote for Faircloth anyway but when my most liberal family members said "Hey you should vote for Myers. She has a great record and she's a Republican" I knew I had made the correct decision.

Maybe uphill, but it's a Republican majority district and there's only 1 Republican in the runoff. Very dishonest and well funded campaign by Myers but Faircloth can certainly win and would be a far superior judge.

There will be an extremely low turnout. It will be all about who gets their base motivated to vote. Both are Rs on the ballot. The wolf in sheep’s clothing could easily win.

I know she clerked for Lewis Unglesby if that’s any indication

Myers is a politician. Nothing more. She has too large of a campaign to be trusted.
But, we have too many morons in this city that vote based on the amount of ads they see.

Myers will get most of the SAHM vote.

I’ve voted for Faircloth each time and will continue until he gives me a reason not to.
Call me sexist, but I prefer male judges as well. I feel females are more likely to take much emotion into decision, whether it be a soft view or an overcompensating harsh view to prove their power.

How does faircloth afford to run for every judge race? It’s almost if there’s this shadowy figure that dumps lots of money into judge and da elections funding him

Agreed, hoping for the best!

You have 15 posts on this board. I am not sure we should take your word for anything. Are you an attorney or family friend?
Or, are you just a Faircloth supporter anonymously attacking his rival?
BTW-didn't vote for either of these two in the first election.

Huh? He ran last year as a complete political newcomer, came in 1st in the primary and lost by 2 votes in the runoff. Tim Kelley retired creating another open seat and so he naturally ran again after coming so close last year. "Every judge race" = 2 races? OK.

Nice try, Jordan.

Don't take my word for anything. Look at who is funding her campaign. Look at who Myers has donated to. Talk to the EBR Republican party about how she responded to their questions.
