When you understand that the GOP in the Senate thinks they drug Trump to the presidency and their reading of his election was that the Dems went to far left, you understand that Thune is doing what he thinks is best for the GOP. He is a fricking moron, but he and all of the Senate GOP think they know what's best for Trump.

I have plenty of discussion, feel free to look in my post history. You made a very stupid thread supporting John Thune as you melt about Trump. Reevaluate yourself.

I’d also like to hear your break down of how Thune is so good for our government since you mentioned him being so good at the macro level. Please inform us what he has done that has helped our country and government since being senate majority leader.

You have a MBA, this shouldn’t be hard.

His wife and daughter are lifelong active Democrats. So draw whatever conclusions you want from that.

As I mentioned in my post, my entire opinion of him thus far was shaped by that one interview. In it, he shared his approach and clarified why certain things are the way they are.

It was refreshing because over the past decade, we've mostly seen finger-pointing or ridiculous deflection whenever tough questions were asked--from both sides.

I'm a pretty buttoned up guy, so it makes sense I would take to that approach over the more salacious provocateurs we typically get.

You also said you didn’t know who he was until today and you’re going to try and convince me you have an MBA and discuss politics not knowing who the senate leader is. This is why I don’t have discussions with certain people on here.

Not in my opinion, with Schumer you expect him to revolt against Trump

John Thune is an impediment to the Trump administration and the will of the majority.
He is a self serving count. He has not want to ensure we have a country in 250 years from now.

You're not a serious poster or love he is obstructing Trump's agenda and appointments, defeating or ignoring sound legislation to strengthen the election process, to name three.

You still can't list anything? What did he obstruct, what legislation did he defeat or ignore?

Keep in mind it takes 7 democrats to pass legislation in the Senate

No I'm not, he could get the save act passed with a talking filibuster.

He is blocking Trump's agenda and appointments.

He can change out the parliamentarian.

That's real shite kid.

You don't even know what a talking filibuster is. Even if the SAVE Act was brought up for vote, he doesn't have the votes to pass it. Collins, Murkowski, Tillis, and probably Cornyn and Cassidy would oppose.

What would that do? You still have the Byrd rule to contend with
