Hey, just curious—what is the overall opinion of John Thune?
Just watched an interview with him on Fox, and he seems like a very smart, measured, process-oriented, and reasonable man --- someone who actually thinks in terms of institutions and long-term consequences.
From what I’ve seen, he reads like someone who understands the macro level view and tries to keep the machinery of government from flying off the rails, even when it puts him at odds with his own party.

It’s essentially a wash.

This to me is the main problem with conservatives in Washington.
When you're elected to government you're supposed to represent your party, who in turn represents the voters who elect your.
Far too often Republicans get elected and then decide they need to be doing what the see as right in not what the voters that elected them wanted them to do.

RINO Deep State piece of filth, who’s in his position strictly because Trump hating elitists and globalists have given him the money to buy the Senate presidency.

For everything you cry about you likening Thune doesn’t surprise me and shows how stupid you really are.

He is not listening to the vast majority of his own party and that of America by not passing the SAVE Act.

Definitely not a “wash” unless you think holding incessant impeachment hearings is the equivalent of being incompetent

Thune is your typical DC Uniparty career politician as are a majority of Congressional republicans.
Have you ever wondered why the leftist agenda creeps forward regardless of which party is in power? Hmmmmmm?

What was the highest level of education you completed? Are you only capable of insults?
I don't know much about the guy, but I was impressed by his demeanor and his ability to speak to all the topics that were asked about.
I get it. You probably get hard on tough, incoherent tweets from Trump, but some of us are educated and appreciate civil discussions.

If true, I can see why I would like him. I didn't pick up on him creeping toward the left, but I did appreciate that he had some understanding, was trying to consider different perspectives, and could articulate his team's views as well as others.
Thank you for trying to have a discussion

Your posting history disqualifies you from being able to pull this off.
Decent try, though. I guess.

Thune is the epitome of the Deep State RINO wing of the GOP ... and he's anti-Trump, anti-MAGA.
He's gotten jack shite ziltch done since being named Senate Leader and, as a matter of fact, he's intentionally blocked and run interference against getting Trump’s agenda and picks pushed through in a reasonable amount of time.
No recess appointments. No judges passed. Record long waits to get admin positions filled. Long vacations at the worst times.
Thune is a sanctimonious deep state sewer rat POS.

I love to poke some shite every now and then, but I would think you would be open to some discussion as well.

Interesting feedback—just a thought. If this is true, maybe he was put in place to get the GOP back to the old way, since this is Trump's last term.
