There is nothing worse than a woke and/or TDS-suffering Southerner. The pathetic self-loathing combined with superiority complex is truly unbearable.

I agree. John Meacham is another one that is lost. They get comfortable in their cocktail party echo chambers and lose rational thought.

He’s saying this for a book,

After the banshees cover for him, he does go on to say that this is a weird time for the USSC and he’s never seen anything like it. Yeah, methinks he doesn’t like that it’s in favor of conservative judges and secretly wants some “kind” of change.

was The Pelican Brief (movie) any good?

I loved the Pelican Brief as a kid. I'm tired of Grisham and loathe his politics but he was a good storyteller.

Movie was pretty good IMO.

I remember there was a scene outside of our beloved Superdome as a Saints game was letting out.

IMO the greatest writer or our time now that Wolfe and Vidal are gone is Erik Larson.... and he also has TDS as bad or worse than any of them.

The only great American writer who didn't have TDS was Wolfe

Gore Vidal was fricking terrible. He portrayed random historical figures as gay, usually with no basis, and the northeastern media elites deified him for it. Don't be a sheep.

That was Pelican Brief... his first big book turned movie. Two supreme court justices were murdered.

His more recent work is just the same plot and storyline with different names.

I find this to be true of anything he’s ever done. He’s good but the stories in some manner are repetitive.

People that watched the clip know this was mentioned, it's the timing of the comment when asked his thoughts on the SC recently. Saying this as his first comment let's you know his opinion and can see it in his face/eyes. Frick him and Stephen King.

Especially when this same group says nothing about the actual legit death threats against justices.

Net worth 400 million. I guess he thinks he’s insulated from the backlash that guys like him are creating.

I read every book he wrote until a couple after the Natchez Burning trilogy. His politics bleeding into his writing so much ruined anything he writes for me. In cemetery Road he kept on about how the protagonist's dad had the goods on Trump.

I was also a huge Grisham fan until he became unbearable as well. His son was in my law school class, I can only assume he's just as bad now.

He thought about doing what, again?

Writing the another book like the Pelican Brief? Why would he do that?

some of you didn't listen to the clip. He said it was the plot of the Pelican Brief but lately he's thinking about doing it again.
