bullshite. Prices were way higher on equipment, just like everything else, prior to the tariffs. I haven't seen a significant change since the tariffs. CAT is considering repricing downward.

I'm a sales rep for Cat and the sales prices went up about 50% from 2020-2023 and have actually come down about 15% from 2023-2025.

Word on the street is that we are going to get a 4-5% price increase soon due to tariffs. Komatsu just took a 4% tariff price increase across the board recently

Good. I have an excavator I'm planning on selling. Will help increase demand and sell price for my used equipment.

The left side of the aisle always complains about

quote:

Higher tariffs, primarily on steel but also on aluminum

But it is also the left who disallow cutting the regulations that helped kill domestic production of these products.

Should help the used market a bit. Used has been very soft for the last year or so

JD is crying poor every year about something. There’s always something to blame other than theirselves.

Farmers will tell you, if JD didn’t have such good credit terms, hardly any farmers would use them.

MAGA thinks taxes are patriotic now? MAGA thinks protecting pedophiles is patriotic now?

The list price for new tractors rose at least 60 percent over the last eight years, according to the University of Illinois Extension, with some models more than doubling in price, costing at least $250,000 more than they used to.

But let me guess, it's 100% Trump's fault, even though Biden was POTUS the prior 4 years...

This should be bumped multiple times

If no one else does, I will

Normal dumbass people have no idea what it takes to even keep up 3 acres of land

How many people can even fix a small walk behind lawnmower

I can’t!

Farmers and even small patches of land owners

Have to how to maintain and repair multiple pieces of machinery

frick John Deere for fricking the people that made them

Hell I bought my son every tractor toy that they made

I will continue to bump your post

Deere imports very few machines for domestic sale, so tariff impact will be rather minimal.

The raw materials come from everywhere.

100% of the 5000 series (5067E thru 5135M) are imported from India.

The 6000E series are made in Mexico. I believe most if not all of the 6000M series are made in Mannheim, Germany.

Only the 6000R's and up are made in Waterloo, IA.

That's a lot of tractors sold in high volume that are made overseas.

Only 25% of materials are outsourced.

Deere’s scale back has been very public since 2019. This is lazy gotcha journalism.

I believe 6M is Mexico, but again… 76% of domestic sales are US produced. The unions see to it. And the tariffs on India just went up this month anyway.

The tractors you are referencing are low spec, small commercial ag machines with very low volume here - hence the foreign factories.

Thats not the point. The point is that Deere pretty much won't allow you to service your own equipment when it comes to the big dog stuff
